My dream house has lots of rooms and windows. It has a big red front door. There is a huge living room with comfortable sofas and an enormous TV screen on the wall for my family and me to spend time together.

In the basement, there is a giant game room with a ping-pong table and drum set for me and my friends. It has a fridge for drinks and snacks.

There are extra bedrooms so my friends can spend the night. My bedroom is blue with lots of shelves for my toy car collection. There are lots of posters of my favorite actors and singers, but they are big electronic screens so they can change all the time! There is also a brand new computer, a sound system, and a telescope because I love astronomy! My bed is special! You climb a tall ladder to get it, I sleep under a window, and I can see the stars at night!

is too big and there is a big swimming pool, a tennis court, a little vegetable patch and there are too many flowers in the garden (tulips, peonies, hydrangeas, roses and other beautiful flowers)

The roof is the terrace, it has a mini bar, it's decorated with strips of spotlights, there are some sofas and armchairs and there is a bathroom

The basement is a medium nice event hall, for family events.

THE BASEMENT

My favorite room is all the third level, because is my office and study of work.In the study there is a big wall of mirror, and other wall with a too big bookcase with different books of fashion desing, a white big desk with his chair, i have my computer in the desk.There are some white and black mannequins, beautiful fabries and threads of diferents colors.There are some great big sewing machines, there is a a big withe dressing room and a bathroom.there are some disingns on the wall and all things necessary fir desingn and create clothes.

MY FAVORITE ROOM

In this level have my nice big bedroom.

In my bedroom have a big bathroom with a white bathtub and shower and my big whithe dressing room.

In the same level there are 4 rooms and 5 bathrooms, there is a homework and game room (for my children's) a TV room and stairs.

In the downstairs have the garage with my beautiful Range Rover and other nice car,to the right of the principal door is the libary/office on the left is the first bathroom.There is a nice living room, the kitchen, the dining room, the pantry and the garden gate

PRESENTATION OF MY HOUSE

How many floors does my house have?

In the first floor, there is the hall, the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, 1 bathroom and the garage. In the sencond floor, there is the bedrooms and the bathrooms.

What kind of house?

Where it´s located?

My house will have 2 floors;1 kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 dinnig room, the hall and outside, there is the garden and the garage.

My house will be a modern village with a pool in the garden. Will be made up of brick and the roof made up of wood.

My house will be located in Benidorm, Alicante.

When you enter in the house, you will be in the hall. The hall has a white locker and on the top of the locker, there is some flowers and photos. Stuck to the wall, there is a mirror with flowers on the edges. The floor is made up of wood and it´s light brown. The wools are made up of brick and they are light grey. When you keep walking forward, on the right you have the entrance to the kitchen.

In the middle of the kitchen, you can see a white and brown kitchen island. The worktop it´s light brown and in the middle of the worktop, there is a glass ceramic. On the right side, you can see the sink. Down of the sink, there is the dishwasher. On the left side, there is the oven and, on the top of this, you can see the microwave. On the left side of this there is the fridge. Stuck to the wall, there is a shelf with spices. On the wall on the right side, there is a window. In front of this, there is a table with 4 chairs and they are white and light brown.

Through the windows, I could see the sun setting and disappearing into the mountains. My dream house would have a small garden where I will grow my own vegetables and fruits. 

The house that I fancy would be considerably big with four rooms and a spacious common area. My dream house should be comfortable for my parents, grandparents and siblings. The house should be equipped with all the modern amenities. It should have a big TV with a home theatre system and a Playstation attached to it. The walls of the house will have light colours that will make it appear bright. There will be sufficient light bulbs and lamps in every room. I also dream of a chandelier in the guest room and a big sofa where everyone will sit and enjoy watching TV together. My grandparents love reading. I wish that my dream house will have a reading space with lots of books.

I have a 3-year old pet dog called Tiger. I also want to have a small yet cosy space in my house for Tiger where he can sleep and relax when he grows old. The house will have beautiful interiors and will have all the facilities like a modern kitchen, three bathrooms, a staircase leading to the terrace, ACs, etc. My dream home should be the one where we all can live happily and comfortably.

Yes, Mortgage Influencers Exist—Here’s Their Top Home Finance Advice on TikTok

TikTok is synonymous with singing, dancing, skits, and now—mortgages.

Some of the 170 million U.S. users of the popular social media app are also homebuyers in need of loans. Like so many other people in search of a quick hit of entertainment with a dash of needed information, they are turning to the mortgage influencers of TikTok.

For example, in one TikTok video , a man says, “If you’re thinking of buying a house in 2024, you need to pay attention to interest rates.”

The speaker, a loan officer who goes by the handle @buynotrentguy , has hundreds of videos that cover all kinds of mortgage and finance advice, from  setting up a trust for a house to buying a home with a parent .

He’s just one of many “mortgage influencers” on the platform dishing out advice. But is the advice sound?

To answer that, we combed TikTok to find the best mortgage videos on the platform and asked mortgage professionals to weigh in.

What the pros think about TikTok advice

Jerry Devlin  of  Assume Loans , a company in Brookline, MA, says that many TikTok videos can be helpful in explaining some of the “do’s and don’ts” of buying a home.

“It is particularly helpful reaching a younger, first-time homebuyer market that might otherwise think buying a home is out of reach,” he says.

However, Devlin notes that not all videos are helpful or accurate.

“I particularly do not like those that ‘predict’ where rates or home prices are going. Those, in my opinion, are irresponsible,” adds Devlin.

Richard Redmond , a mortgage broker and author of “Mortgages: The Insider’s Guide,” adds that social media videos shouldn’t be a buyer’s only source of mortgage information.

“Buying a home is probably the biggest purchase a person will make in their life, and how it is financed may be the most important financial decision most people will make,” says Redmond. “It is worth spending some time to get educated enough to make an informed choice about getting a mortgage.”

Buyers should talk to at least two lenders , ideally a mortgage broker and a banker, Redmond adds. These experts should be “experienced, referred by trusted sources, and have great online reviews.”

So, while TikTok videos shouldn’t be the beginning and end of your financial education, they can be a quick, accessible, and even fun way to prepare yourself for homebuying.

1. For buyers who think mortgage terms sound like gibberish

In this clip, Texas mortgage lender @thatlenderbecca makes a point of saying that many buyers don’t understand some of her industry’s technical terms.

She speaks to the camera while gibberish language plays over her words.

“What my clients hear when I forget they don’t speak mortgage,” reads the text.

If you don’t know what a basis point or a jumbo mortgage is, this is a good reminder for buyers to familiarize themselves with at least some key terms. Here’s a helpful guide .

2. For buyers curious about the future of mortgage rates

Another video discusses inflation and rates after a recent Federal Open Market Committee meeting, in which the Federal Reserve decided to keep the short-term policy rate steady at a range of 5.25% to 5.5%.

“While the news wasn’t great for homebuyers,” the video states, referring to the rates staying the same, “it could’ve been worse.”

Devlin says that this poster, @thatmortgageguy , a mortgage banker with hundreds of videos and more than 800,000 followers, is “one of the biggest influencers in this space.”

He adds that @thatmortgageguy reports mortgage-related news while educating. It’s a good account for easy-to-digest updates on the housing world.

3. For buyers who have rate concerns

Speaking of rates, @buynotrentguy recently posted a video about whether home shoppers should wait for rates to go down or brave the market while rates are relatively high. He encourages buyers not to delay, saying that when rates eventually drop, home prices are likely to rise.

“People that buy now can sit in the house, wait for rates to drop,” he explains in the video. “As that happens, their home price will go up, they will actually gain equity during the period that they’re waiting. They can then refinance to the lower rate.”

What the pros say:  Redmond says this is good advice—as long as rates actually drop.

“This is basically ‘ marry the house, date the mortgage ‘ advice,” he says, referring to a popular homebuying strategy.

Home shoppers shouldn’t depend on predictions, he adds. “Interest rates are notoriously difficult to predict. … You might as well use a Magic 8 Ball.”

He recommends a more careful strategy: “When you finance a home purchase, you should be confident that if interest rates do not drop, you will still be able to afford your mortgage.”

4. For buyers curious about whether a loan estimate is the final price

“Mortgage loan officers are getting pretty desperate,” @the.mortgage.mentor starts in one post.

The market is hard for everyone: buyers, agents, and even lenders, she says in the video. Some lenders are “pulling some pretty shady tactics” to get buyers to work with them and are “grossly underestimating” their loan estimate. (A loan estimate is just that, a document that estimates anticipated closing costs, monthly payments, and the interest rate, among other things.)

“Surprises are great, but not when it comes to buying a home,” she says. “You don’t want to have to show up to closing and, surprise, you have to pay $2,000 more.”

What our pros say: Redmond reminds buyers that @the.mortgage.mentor’s claim that loan officers are “desperate” is a generalization.

“Some are and some do lie, but most care too much about their online rep to make a habit of it,” he says. A good loan estimate was designed to protect consumers—and can be very valuable.

5. For buyers curious about how to show proof of funds

In one video, posted by a loan officer who goes by @loansenseiphatchau , a scene plays out from “The Office” in which one character repeatedly asks another, “Where?”

Over the clip, the text reads: “POV: Your loan officer asks where you keep your down payment.”

Below, the TikTok user explains that a buyer’s funds should be in checking or savings accounts, gift funds, or a 401(k)—but not in cash.

While it’s not mentioned in this video, it’s generally recommended that assets not be in mutual funds and stocks since this money can’t be withdrawn easily and the amount can change quickly based on market conditions.

Home shoppers will also need to submit a proof of funds letter showing they have enough to purchase a home when presenting an offer letter.

6. For buyers curious about how to pay off a mortgage early

Josie Luiz Morales , or @joseluizmorales805 on TikTok, is a real estate agent and investor from Ventura, CA, who posts about buying, selling, and finances.

In one video, he discusses paying off a 30-year mortgage in 15 years by increasing monthly payments.

“This is something the bank won’t tell you because they make more money off you,” he says in the video before explaining how homeowners could pay off their mortgage early by paying 15% more each month.

What our pro says: Redmond explains that owners can indeed pay off their mortgage early if they can afford to increase their monthly payments.

However, he says Morales’ claim that the banks “won’t tell you” this fact is “complete hogwash.”

“Almost all residential loans are securitized and aren’t held by a bank. Whoever originated your loan has zero interest or investment in whether or not you pay it off 15 years early,” Redmond explains.

In addition, he explains that when homeowners pay additional principal on a mortgage, it’s “the same thing as putting money in a savings account at the mortgage interest rate, so you need to be satisfied with that return.”

He notes that if a homeowner isn’t happy with their interest rate, they could potentially be better off using that extra cash for another, more lucrative investment.

Nice casual experience here with Thai style afternoon tea! There was a good variety of afternoon tea options! The sweet and savory pastries were really cute and fun to try. It would be nice if they had a written list that labeled out what each pastry was and what was in it. There was also fruits and curry chicken sandwich (tapas size) included with the set. We were allowed to order food on their regular menu, too, if we wanted. There is a good amount of seating too because there's two sides to the restaurant. One side was more decorated than the other side, though. I held a birthday afternoon tea here, and I felt that it could be more decorated because my group sat on the less decorated side. The service was also low because there was only one person working there at the time. I think this place has the potential to be better. Overall, I thought the tea set was good value! Looking forward to coming again!

Really fun take on afternoon tea with their thai inspired flavors in their "East Meets West Afternoon Tea" set! Note there are only 4 tables, would recommend calling for a reservation ahead of time. Service is also on the slower side, as the waitress is serving both the tea customers as well as the restaurant on the other side.

A really cute tea / dessert spot sharing a space with a Thai restaurant. I made reservations in advanced for a Sunday tea time. When I arrived they were hosting a birthday party at the restaurant so service to seat me was pretty slow. My friend and I got our menus and picked the tea (the set comes with 1 pot and additional is $5). It took awhile to take our tea orders but they were understandably occupied with the party. Once we placed our tea orders, our tower of savory / sweet items came shortly. It was definitely unique tasting but I'm from Malaysia so I was aware of the spices. My friend however, was definitly a newbie to these spices but she enjoyed it! We both really liked the curry puff, curry sandwich, and the sticky rice. I think this tea set $40 was definitely worth the travel for me all the way from Brooklyn!

I'm a sucker for afternoon high tea service and wish that there were more places that offer it here in NYC. The ones I know about in Manhattan are a bit on the higher end in terms of prices, so it was great to hear about Madame Tea Sweet House. They recently opened in Woodside, Queens and are offering their version of afternoon tea service. The tea service is called East Meets West ($39.99) and is Thai focused. You have your choice of tea and includes both savory and sweet items like chicken and meat dumplings, cupcakes, coconut mango jelly, steamed banana cake, sticky rice balls (Bua Loi), grated coconut, and layered pandan dessert (Khanom Chan), just to name a few. The items are petite sized and perfect for those who want to try a variety of Thai desserts both traditional and new. The presentation was on point and was so visually stunning. I loved the fact that a lot of the items in the tea service were new to me. My favorite items were the three savory sweet bird dumplings (Chor Muang) filled with ground meat, and radishes. They were shaped like tiny birds, had a silky, chewy dough filled with ground chicken & pork. It was so very tasty. Funnily enough, the tea was actually the least exciting component of the whole thing. We chose to get Jasmine green and it was surprisingly just a tea bag and not house blend loose leaf tea that is usually served with high tea. Along with the tea service, we also ordered Larb Pork Nachos ($16.95). Larb is usually served with sticky rice or lettuce wrap so I really loved their version with nachos. The larb was tangy, full of flavor with lots of fresh herbs, and had a slight spicy kick. It was so perfect with the nachos which added a crunchy element to each bite. I could have eaten this whole dish by myself. We very much enjoyed our visit. The space, while small with about 4-5 small tables, was decorated so cute. The staff and owner came by several times to check on us. They even put the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's on the screen for us to watch while we waited for our food. It was just a very lovely time, and we will be coming back.

Food is amazing here. I love their afternoon tea set which costs 39.99 per set, enough to share between 2 people. Decoration is beautiful - you will feel like you're in a garden. Service is also great. Highly recommended to try! You have to call to make reservation. It's usually from 2-6 pm on weekends.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with 2 kids and a friend. We did not have reservations and were seated immediately. They seemed pretty unorganized even though they were not full. We came for the experience that we did not get we were not greeted at the table to select teas given a breakdown of what the tray tower came with nothing. My girls wanted the experience and I was a little disappointed that I had to keep getting up to ask questions. I will come back again to try to get the experience hopefully it would not be the same. The food was cool.

This place is very small but it was cool. The staff/owners were nice! Tea was tasty and the pork that came with the sticky rice was really really good!

Can't remember the name but it was really really good. Suggested that they should sell the teas and they just might!

Sweets and things

Came here as a party of 3 to try the high tea. We were slightly confused with the set up. Essentially its $40 for a pot of tea and the tower of treats. Typically suited for 2 people. We initially thought each person was charged like a normal high tea place but thats not the case here. The restaurant is small and very nicely decorated. The food display was appetizing and most of the stuff that was included in the tea set was delicious. The restaurant has an awesome thai menu with tons of selection all very reasonably priced. We were very disappointed in the tea. Inside the tea pot is one single tea bag and if u wanted refill they just add hot water but the tea bag already has no more flavor. Our server was super nice but the poor guy was running around the whole restaurant with no additional help. Every table was full. Not only did he forget to put in an order but we ended up waiting a long time for a dish that he kept saying was coming that we never came. We ended up canceling and asking for the check. We definitely enjoyed the food and would love to come back to try the rest of the menu. Hopefully next time it will be better
