Topic: Water Shortages (band 6)

Fresh water has always been a limited resource in some parts of the world. Today, however, growing worldwide demand has made this a global problem.

What are the causes of the increased demand and what measure could governments and individuals take to respond to this problem?

Fresh water resource is a worldwide issue, that is related to varied factors, and it should be involve every country in the world. This essay will illustrate some reasons of the increasing demand and some solutions to solve as soon as possible.

Nowadays, because of industrialization, many European country has resolved this problem because every citizen are able to get drinkable water, but there is a huge difference with the third countries. Although, European people do not miss water, limited water resource is becoming a global emergency that could affect every nation.

Firstly, the rising request is related to the overpopulation; that is the reason why Chinese government has tried to reduce and regulate birth, so they have got the power to limit and control the population growth; this is not a reasonable political action to take.

Secondly, the overpopulation has caused a growing demand of food, so further water has been used by farmer for agriculture; moreover, not all the farms have an appropriate and modern infrastructures and machines to give water to the soil, consequently a huge amount of this natural resource is wasted.

A solution could be taken by local governments, such as, investments in new technologies, which are able to reuse water from soil, or more invested money on the creation of food in laboratories, in this last scenario a vast amount of water could be saved.

In addition, global warming has affected significantly this issue, for this reason international cooperation should try to reduce the environment changing to preserve water, avoiding deforestation and pollution, increasing renewable energy. I would suggest teaching and educating children and students to save water in everyday life, these lessons could help them to notice their usage in their private house.

In conclusion, I think some solutions could be found to fix the problem; however, we should work all together to make the difference.

Task Response: 6

You have discussed the issues quite well but not all are fully explained . You have mentioned that global warming is a cause near the end but you haven’t explained why it leads to water shortage. You also have some irrelevant information like the body paragraph after the introduction or this sentence which is not related to the question: “ this is not a reasonable political action to take .” Fix these issues and you are likely nearer a 7 for TR.

Coherence & Cohesion: 6

You do have issues with organisation and CC. As mentioned above – you introduce ‘ global warming ’, a ‘ cause ’ near the end. Surely this should be with the other ‘ causes ’ at the start of the essay. Also you have lots of short paragraphs. Put the causes in one paragraph and the solutions in the next paragraph. I’m also not sure what the first body paragraph after the introduction is for as it does not relate to causes or solutions - it looks like you might be introducing the issue, but don't waste time on this. Focus on directly answering the question.

Lexical Resource: 6

Vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but you have some problems with the way you use lexis, such as saying "solutions to solve".

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: 6

This is probably just a 6 but it's borderline 5. You do have quite a few small errors, especially nearer the start, though it improves as your essay progresses. Particularly noticeable is issue with punctuation. You are using commas when you need full-stops or some kind of transition. Check out how you need to punctuate to avoid ‘comma splices’.

Topic: Reading & Writing Skills (Band 6)

Some people think that the increasing use of computers and mobile phones for communication has a negative effect on young people's reading and writing skills.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, our life improved by technology developments. Although some people think that communication through computers and mobile phones increased and has a detrimental effect on how young generation develop their skills in reading and writing, others think that this impact of technology is not a disadvantage. I strongly belive that young people reading and writing skills have suffered due to increasing usage of computers and mobile phones.

To begin with, technology  increases day by day and we have to be aware of what is new and implement it on our everyday life. It is certainly known that communication through online platforms it is more easier than the usual one and currently it is vital to have at least one tool like mobile phone or computer if someone wants to have an online conversation with somebody else. A survey was conducted on young subjects in 2007, in the United Kingdom and almost 90% of their respondents agreed with the fact that communication using devices is easier and more effective than using traditional ways and they looked more willing to use a device, like a digital book rather than have similar reading like in the previous generations.

To add more, there are many situations which provide that communication using only devices can be deficitary and it involves a lot of disadvantages. First and foremost, young generation can not experience the biggest pleasure of reading a new book, feeling the fragrance of their pages while sitting at the desk. Also, from the primary school, children learn how to effectively write and this situation needs improvement every day, because currently during the classes, many children get distracted and try to avoid what is vital for a society: to know how to correctly write. What is more, it has been proven that writing on a device decrease the rate of concentration in left emisphere of the brain and ought to this issue, many health problems can appear and develop. Nevertheless, technology development is an insurmontable situation that can not be stopped. During the years 2010-2020, a study was made using foreign students from my University and the results shown that those who used devices like mobile phones or computers in order to communicate had a lower rate of learning our mother tongue than others who concentrated on traditional books. Furthermore, a long period of time looking at blue screens affected the visual content and therefore most of them needed to see an Ophtalmologist.

To conclude, it is evident that communication is the most striking feature in our everyday life and both traditional and digital paths can be used, but younger generation needs to be aware of the disadvantages of using most of the time only devices like computers and mobile phones, because the drawbacks can outweigh more than the positive effects.

Task Response: 5

Much of your answer if you look does not actually answer the question - how are reading and writing skills affected. You address this briefly in body para 2 but your whole response should address this.

For a 7, each body paragraph should have a central idea but your essay does not appear to do this. It gets confusing as to what the main idea of each is as you discuss positives and negatives.

Lexical Resource: 7

Grammatical range and accuracy: 7.

Lexis and grammar are stronger points in your essay; however, there are still quite a few obvious grammar errors so GR is borderline 6/7. You are writing too much. Reduce the amount you write and focus on brainstorming (making sure your ideas answer the question) planning, organising and checking grammar. There are some lessons here you may find useful.

IELTS Band 6.5 essay sample: Youngsters resort to violence to give vent to their frustration

IELTS Band 6.5 essay sample: Youngsters resort to violence to give vent to their frustration

In many countries, youngsters protest against the system by damaging public properties. Is this justified?

The world has become more diverse in recent past. Sometimes diversity also causes unrest between people belonging to different religion, cast and creed. Many a time disagreements between such groups lead to clashes and youngsters resort to violence to give vent to their anger. Damaging public properties is one of them. Disagreement may lead to healthy discussions and it is also considered a virtue in democracies. But violence and damage to public properties are not at all accepted in any healthy society.

In many countries this phenomenon is a result of intolerance. Even a small hurt to religious sentiments causes eruption of violence and public properties are being targeted first. Youngsters feel that by doing so they are exercising their right to protest. These young people consider that damaging public property is a way to register their protest against administration. At times these youngsters also resort to such behavior to pretest against government policies.

Such trends are not at all healthy. Violence by any means must be condemned. There are many other ways to protest. Damaging public properties is not only violence but also wastage of public money. These properties are being bought from the tax that public pays and they are for the public use. Youth must be sensitised about this fact.

To prevent damaging public facilities, many governments have enacted laws. Miscreants are penalised heavily under those laws.

In a summary, the idea of damaging public property for any reason is not at all acceptable and society must curb the menace. Society should publicly embarrass such people. Laws should be enforced strictly in such cases. And such unlawful elements must be penalized heavily.

I am sure the future is bright. Society will be free of such violence and protest will be held in civilized manner.

IELTS Writing Task 2 essay sample 3265 – Band 6.5

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Write about the following topic:

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

Family and Relationships , Task 2 essay , Work and Employment , Writing samples , Writing topics

The writing sample displayed here is the work of IELTS candidates and has been assessed by our team for guidance and practice purposes. These scores are not official IELTS scores.

Candidate’s Response:

I agree that paying someone to look after their children is not a good way of parenting because the person cannot be trusted fully in any way and parents are not sure whether the person is good enough or not. Although working hard is needed due to the difficulties all families have in their lives, spending time together as a family is very important.

First of all, the distance parents make by working all day and not being with their kids, has an impact on their children’s mental health. Children, especially in ages between 5 to 12, need their mother and father by their side. They want their own parents to support them and be there when they need them. The love that parents give to their children is pure and children need that in order to grow up healthy.

Another reason for this matter is that parents do not get to know their child well because they were not there to raise them and educate them. With that being said, children may grow up in a different way and sometimes it may lead to having arguments over small things with their parents. The distance causes children to find and experience things they want on their own and may decide to break the law just because their own parents did not teach them how to behave in the house or outside.

Overall, working all day and not spending enough time with children has lots of bad influences on their mental health. So if parents find a way to manage their time to be there for their children, prevent many damages that may happen to their kids.

IELTS Writing Band Descriptors:

Thank you indeed for writing this essay. The response effectively presents a clear opinion on the issue and provides relevant supporting points. The idea that paying someone to look after children is not ideal due to trust issues and the importance of spending time as a family is well-established. The essay demonstrates coherence in presenting ideas; however, the transitions between paragraphs could be smoother. Consider using cohesive devices to enhance the flow between sentences and paragraphs, creating a more seamless connection between ideas. The vocabulary used is generally appropriate, and the essay effectively communicates the writer's ideas. There's room for improvement in terms of word choice and variety, especially in expressing the negative impacts on children's mental health.

Regarding Grammatical Range & Accuracy, while the essay conveys the intended message, there are occasional grammatical errors that slightly impact clarity. Pay attention to sentence structures, ensuring they are grammatically sound and convey the intended meaning accurately.

How to Improve from Band 6.5 to 7 in IELTS

How to Improve from Band 6.5 to 7 in IELTS

There are many frustrations that people feel about the IELTS exam, but perhaps the most common one is the sense of hopelessness that comes with trying to increase their score from band 6.5 to 7. 😩

In today’s lesson, I am going to show you how to increase your IELTS score from band 6.5 to 7 by providing honest, actionable advice. 🎯 It is not an easy process but it is definitely possible if you have the right attitude.

This lesson is going to be divided into several sections to make it easier for you to follow. If you want, you can skip ahead to the most relevant section:

Table of Contents

Do ielts examiners deliberately stop candidates scoring band 7, why is it so hard to achieve band 7, how to improve your score for listening and reading, band 6.5 vs 7 for ielts writing – what’s the difference, how to improve from band 6.5 to 7 for ielts speaking, from band 6.5 to 7: an overview.

First of all, it is essential that you understand the basics of IELTS and its scoring system. Unfortunately, most people do not really appreciate what it is about.

Here is a description from the British Council that makes the meaning pretty clear.

ielts band descriptors for 6 and 7

Still, to some people it is not obvious. How could there be such a big difference between a “competent user” and a “good user”?

Well, those small differences are actually quite important. Notice “ some inaccuracies” compared with “ occasional inaccuracies.” This might seem like a really minor distinction but it could equally be interpreted as “difficult to understand vs easy to understand.”

In short, there is a small jump between band 6 and 7, and of course this is even smaller when you consider moving from 6.5 to 7.

There is a popular theory among IELTS candidates that the IELTS organisers or examiners are engaged in a conspiracy against them. This has proven quite popular and is often discussed on Facebook and elsewhere.

It is an appealing theory that could be summarised like this:

IELTS makes a lot of money by charging people to take their exam. Most immigration departments, employers, and educational facilities want you to score band 7, so IELTS has imposed an unofficial policy that makes it almost impossible to score above band 6.5. Thus, people are forced to take the test again and again.

Like most conspiracy theories, this one is popular because:

  • It is tempting to believe it.
  • It is hard to disprove.
  • The truth is unpalatable.

I can say with some confidence that IELTS does not deliberately suppress anyone’s score. The aim of this organisation is to provide an accurate assessment of people’s English abilities, and they do that very well.

(You can read more in this article: Is IELTS Unfair? )

If there is no great conspiracy, then one must ask why it is so difficult to score band 7 for IELTS .

In fact, many people easily score band 7 for reading and listening, but struggle for speaking and writing. Even some very advanced candidates struggle with the writing test.

This is all because band 7 means “a good user of English.” At this level, you are expected to communicate easily and make few mistakes. This is not hard with receptive skills such as reading and listening… but it is much more difficult for speaking and writing.

The fact is that scoring band 7 is not impossible. I have many friends who would sit IELTS tomorrow and score band 7 or 8 or 9. These are not the sort of people who spread conspiracy theories on Facebook, though! You would not hear them whining on Twitter or looking for cheats, shortcuts, and tricks.

Let’s face it – from the list of reasons above, we can see that #3 is often correct. Most people who score band 6 in IELTS are simply not ready to score band 7. They just did not meet the criteria and they do not know why.

Improving from Band 6.5 to 7 in IELTS Listening and Reading

For IELTS reading, moving from band 6.5 to 7 is not usually considered a big jump. This is because you can get many questions wrong and still be awarded a band 7. If you do the academic reading test and get 10 questions wrong, you will still be awarded a band 7!

*Note that the scoring system is a little different for academic and general reading because the general reading passages are noticeably easy in comparison to the academic ones. Scoring 30 questions right for academic IELTS would get you a band 7… but you would need to get 34 questions correct in the general test to achieve this same result.

ielts academic vs general reading

Still, around the world people tend to find that reading is the easiest part of the IELTS exam. You have the material in front of you and you can logically work out many of the right answers. The hardest thing, of course is time.

Listening is a bit harder than reading because of course you cannot see the words that you need to understand. Yes, the questions are written in front of you but the actual material that you need to interpret is an audio recording.

Still, for this section it is also quite common that people score bands 7, 8, and 9. Again, you would need to get three quarters of the questions correct to score band 7.

ielts listening score calculator

For these two areas of the IELTS exam, you can improve your score by practising frequently. I would recommend doing a wide range of reading practice featuring different accents. Also, listen to English-language recordings for fun – podcasts , YouTube videos, TV shows, movies, sports events, etc. All of this will help.

You can do some specific IELTS listening and reading practice tests online but you should not rely too heavily upon them. Remember that your real test will be different. Instead, look at your scores to get an idea of what you might achieve in your next test. If you are routinely scoring about band 7 then you might want to wait until you can easily score 7.5 or 8 before you do the test. Remember that test-day nerves can reduce your score.

Finally, I will advise you to practise under realistic test conditions. This is because the time constraints of IELTS reading and listening are what make them difficult. Of course, if you had 2 hours to do the reading exam then you would have a good chance of scoring full marks.

How to Get Band 7 in IELTS Writing

Next, we come to the most difficult part of the IELTS exam – writing! Many people dread this section and it is now infamous. 😱 I have routinely met people who score band 9 for reading and listening, and then 7 or 8 for speaking… and just 6.5 for writing!

It may seem hard to believe but this is really common. There are various reasons why writing is the hardest part of the IELTS exam but we can summarise it thusly:

  • You must produce language, not simply receive it.
  • There are many aspects to consider – spelling, punctuation, structure, etc.
  • Small mistakes can seriously obscure your meaning.

Put it this way: In IELTS writing, you could understand the question perfectly and then think of the most amazing answer… but a few small mistakes in your vocabulary and grammar could mean that it is hard to understand your meaning . This would cause your score to drop sharply.

Consider that you are judged according to 4 criteria:

  • Task Achievement /Response
  • Coherence and Cohesion
  • Lexical Resource
  • Grammatical Range and Accuracy

These all look at different areas of your ability but they also influence each other. If your grammar is really bad, then your cohesion will be harmed and if you have used the wrong word a few times, the whole meaning (Task Achievement) might become confused. Thus, all of your scores would be reduced.

One of the biggest problems with IELTS writing is that you can only make a couple of grammatical mistakes if you want to score band 7. With more than 250 words written, it is hard to keep to just 2 or 3 errors, and so hardly anyone scores more than band 6 for GRA. (Note: There are no half marks for individual criteria.)

The best way to target a band 7 overall score for IELTS writing is to excel at the two “thinking skills”:

ielts writing - thinking skills vs language skills

Honestly, learning how to master Task Achievement/Response and Coherence and Cohesion is a process that can take a matter of days, but learning to master Lexical Resource and Grammatical Range and Accuracy could take years …

Thus, your best hope of scoring a band 7 would be doing this:

Task Achievement8
Coherence and Cohesion8
Lexical Resource6
Grammatical Range and Accuracy6
Total7

Obviously, you should hope for the best possible score, but realistically some people are not going to be able to score band 7 for the two language sections. They are just too difficult.

All of this might seem really hard to figure out, but you can have your IELTS writing assessed by an expert to find out your current level, then plan your progress from there. You can use my writing correction service to help you with this. It is the best way to progress towards an overall band 7 score for IELTS writing.

One last question: is there really a big difference between band 6.5 and band 7 for IELTS writing? The simple answer is “no.” The difference is not big… but there is a difference and to examiners it is quite clear.

When I am marking IELTS essays and assigning grades, I do two main readings of the text:

  • I read quickly for the main idea and to analyse development/structure.
  • I read slowly to correct all mistakes with vocabulary and grammar.

My first reading will give me a good idea of the candidate’s score for Task Achievement and Coherence and Cohesion, then the second reading will help me figure out the language parts: Lexical Resource and Grammatical Range and Accuracy.

Most of my writing correction students have the same basic problem: They are close to getting a band 7 but they just cannot quite get there. They want me to show them what’s wrong and how to fix it.

In most cases, the problem is… GRAMMAR !! 🤬 Yes, it’s true. This really is the biggest problem. As I mentioned before, trouble with grammar can harm your score for other sections as well by making your work very confusing.

Typically, I would say that the difference between a band 6.5 essay and a band 7 essay is that there are a few more language mistakes in a band 6.5 essay, and that these affect the other scores. I mentioned above that you can make just 2 or 3 grammar errors and score band 7 for GRA, so this is usually a major culprit.

Other possible problems that stop you from getting band 7:

  • Many misspelled words
  • An over-use of cohesive devices
  • Over-generalisation (words like “always”)
  • Misinterpreting the question

See more common grammatical errors here .

How to Get Band 7 in IELTS Speaking

Some people are really confident about speaking in other languages, so they easily score band 7 or higher for IELTS speaking, but for most people it is a nerve-wracking experience and poses some challenges.

In order to score band 7 for IELTS speaking, you need to first consider the 4 marking criteria:

  • Fluency and Coherence
  • Pronunciation

Here are the requirements for bands 6 and 7:

ielts speaking band 6 vs 7

Note that there are no half bands given for the individual areas of marking. Thus, you cannot score 6.5 for Lexical Resource. You would instead be given 6 or 7.

Basically, a person who can score band 7 speaks quite freely and is easy to understand, while a person who scores band 6 is going to be more hesitant and a little harder to understand.

First of all, you need to find out your current level and identify the problems you face. For example, some people are amazing with vocabulary and grammar but struggle badly at pronouncing English words. A really common problem is for people to speak English with a high degree of fluency but a low degree of accuracy. This would give them a score like this:

Fluency and Coherence8
Lexical Resource6
Grammatical Range and Accuracy6
Pronunciation6
Total6.5

Knowing this, you can prepare according to your strengths and weaknesses.

Your preparation should obviously depend upon your problems, so here are some suggestions. In the left column are weaknesses and in the right are exercises to overcome these:

Fluency and CoherencePractise often in a casual setting to build confidence. Later, do some mock tests with a stranger to make yourself comfortable in an exam setting. Practise talking at length without hesitation or self-correction. Record your voice and listen to yourself.
Lexical ResourceLearn vocabulary from context and make sure that you understand words fully before attempting to use them in an exam. Pick up new words from TV shows, podcasts, etc.
Grammatical Range and AccuracyGet a good grammar book or sign up for a grammar course. Study every day, test yourself often, and address your grammatical weaknesses.
PronunciationRepeat what native speakers have said. Try dubbing apps. Work on specific problem areas (like “th” sounds). Use YouTube guides or find a language teacher.

I hope that this lesson has helped you to understand what is required to progress from band 6.5 to 7 in IELTS. Essentially, it is a matter of learning lots of English and a little about the exam. There are no mysteries and your hard work will always be rewarded accordingly.

It signifies a competent level of English proficiency and indicates that the test-taker can handle most communication tasks in an English-speaking environment. The IELTS band scale ranges from 0 to 9, with 6.5 falling in the “Competent User” category.

This score is sufficient to meet the English language requirements for many universities, colleges, and immigration purposes in English-speaking countries. For instance:

  • Universities and Colleges: Many higher education institutions accept a 6.5 band score for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. However, specific requirements may vary depending on the course and institution.
  • Immigration: Countries like Canada, Australia, and the UK often accept a 6.5 band score for various visa categories, including student visas and skilled worker visas.

Advantages of a 6.5 Band Score:

  • Academic Opportunities: A 6.5 band score can open doors to a wide range of academic programs, allowing you to study at reputable universities and colleges.
  • Immigration and Employment: This score meets the language proficiency requirements for several immigration programs and can enhance your employability in English-speaking countries.
  • Competent Communication Skills: A 6.5 band score indicates that you have a solid grasp of English and can communicate effectively in most everyday and academic situations.

Tips to Achieve a 6.5 Band Score:

  • Understand the Test Format: Familiarize yourself with the IELTS test structure, including the types of questions and timing for each section.
  • Develop a Study Plan: Create a structured study schedule that focuses on your weaknesses and allows for regular practice.

Stuck at 6.5? Here’s How to Move Your IELTS Writing to 7

Unlock the secrets to boost your IELTS Writing score from 6.5 to 7. Gain insights into scoring criteria, essay structure, and task analysis for better performance. Enhance your writing skills and excel in the exam with proven strategies and techniques.

Does this sound like you?

Help! I understand spoken English completely, comprehend everything I read and can easily get my message across when I speak. I scored 8s in the Listening and Reading sections of the IELTS exam and 7 in the Speaking. So, why am I stuck at 6.5 in writing?

If you can relate, keep on reading and don’t be discouraged. You have the skills to get that 7. Below are three key questions that just might help you understand what went wrong.

Of the two writing tasks, the longer composition/Task 2, will have more weight than the short Task 1 report (academic) or letter (general training), so let’s start there.

Do you really know what’s expected?

To begin, are you aware that your writing is being rated using 4 different criteria? These are:

task response

coherence and cohesion

lexical resource

grammar - range and accuracy

Each of these areas is rated from 0 – 9 and equally weighted when combined for your overall score.

Achieving below 7 in any area can have an impact.

Look carefully at the Task 2 IELTS Scoring Guid e descriptions for levels 6 and 7 under task response:

7

• address all parts of the task

• presents a clear position throughout the response

• be a tendency to over-generalize and/or supporting ideas may lack focus

6

• addresses all parts of the task although some parts may be more fully covered than others

• presents a relevant position although the conclusions may become unclear or repetitive

• presents relevant main ideas but some may be inadequately developed/unclear

Are you using the correct format to get your ideas across?

To achieve 7, it’s important to:

a) present a clear position from beginning to end b) present points related to your position c) explain and support those points with examples d) finalize with some conclusions.

To fulfil these requirements, you should use an essay format.

BIG MISTAKE ALERT #1 : if you didn’t use essay formatting – for example, you wrote a letter, or in a newspaper style, wrote in point form or used bullets anywhere in your response – you probably scored less than six here.

You're probably familiar with what an essay looks like, so let’s review a basic structure to see how it effectively works to satisfy these higher-level expectations.

One Possible 4/5 Paragraph Essay Structure

The first sentence introduces the subject of the essay (this can be a restatement of the prompt you're given). The second sentence states your opinion or possibly two opposing opinions (depending on the task). The third sentence summarizes the main ideas you will develop in the essay (like a map).

The first sentence states the of the paragraph. A point related to this main idea is given, then supported with further and some . Another point related to the main idea may also be presented with further and as well.

The first sentence states the of the paragraph. A related to this main idea is given, then supported with further and some . Another related to the main idea may also be presented with further and as well.

The main points are summarized, the central idea/s restated, and a final say is made. You might have some advice or a prediction to close.

To clearly illustrate how the essay sets you up for success, here is an example of a body paragraph in action.

The first sentence states the of the paragraph. A related to this main idea is given, then supported with further and some . Another related to the main idea may also be presented with further and as well.

Sample Writing

Although vaping was supposed to help stop people from smoking, it has created some serious issues. Most alarming is that vaping is damaging people’s lungs. More and more users are ending up in the hospital with pneumonia and other serious breathing problems caused by vaping. In one Toronto hospital alone, there were over 200 reported emergency room visits relating to issues caused by e-cigarettes last month. Another very grave development is that young people are picking up this unhealthy habit. The Juul pen, which offers candy flavouring, is very popular with high school students. A recent study showed that 65% of new Juul users are under the age of 18, which is very concerning considering the health risks.

The ideas in the above paragraph are clear and believable - right? If you use an essay structure, you're well on your way to showing that you're capable of developing and defending an argument in English with some clarity. Without this structure, you're at risk of being unclear and repetitive or failing to cover the task fully, which will lower your score.

Are you correctly analyzing and understanding the task before you write?

BIG MISTAKE ALERT #2: You only cover part of the task, or you misunderstand it and write about something that is not related at all. This is a completely different problem and has been addressed in more detail in my blog that shows you how to make sure you understand exactly what to write before you write . Please follow the link to learn how to extract key questions out of the prompts so you can cover all aspects of the task completely.

If you're sure, you didn’t make either of these big mistakes. Check back again for what can go wrong in the other areas of assessment.

It won’t be long before this exam is behind you and you're on your way. Keep your chin up, you’re almost there.
