Campsie Library and Knowledge Centre is a bright, spacious community hub in the very heart of Campsie, located on the lower ground floor of Campsie Centre.

Campsie Library's collections are extensive and include books in community languages such as Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean. With a large activity room, Campsie hosts popular programs such as story times, movies, Tai Chi and cultural events. Four smaller meeting rooms are available for quiet study. Rooms can be booked for external programs and events.

Computers are distributed throughout the library as are study areas and comfortable seating. Our children's collection and area are one of the largest in our library service. There is something for everyone at Campsie Library!

Free parking for 3 hours is available in the Centre car park

Homework help is offered by the local library. This is offered to students in Year 3 to Year 12. The program runs during the school term. You don't need to book, you can just turn up at the allocated time.

Campsie Library: Tuesday 4pm - 7pm, Wednesday 4pm - 7pm and Saturday 1pm - 4pm.

Earlwood Library: Monday 4pm - 7pm.

Lakemba Library: Monday 4pm - 7pm.

Riverwood Library: Monday 4pm - 7pm, Thursday 4pm - 7pm.

Help with homework

Homework is often a revision of what is covered in class. As well as regular weekly homework, your child may have assessments such as assignments or projects with due dates.

A key to success is being organised. To avoid Thursday night meltdowns about incomplete homework, read our homework tips.

Tips for all ages

These tips are relevant for all students Kindergarten to Year 12.

• Ask your child about their homework, know what they are learning about and when assignments are due.
• Use our  term assessment planner (DOCX 53.57KB)  to record when assessments and exams are scheduled so you can help your child prepare in advance. Make to-do lists to spread out the workload.
• Get into a routine of doing homework at a set time, ideally a little each day.

• Turn mobiles to aeroplane mode or off so there are no disruptions.
• If there’s no set homework, encourage your child to do some reading. For younger children, it’s great for them to read aloud to you. For older kids, ask them to tell you about what they have been reading.
• Don’t jump in and give answers. Homework is about helping kids become independent learners.
• Encourage your child to start assignments as soon as they receive them – this will reduce any night-before stress.
• Your child needs to do their own projects and assignments. There’s no point submitting work done by anyone other than the student. Teachers need to know what students can do independently.
• If your child is having difficulty with their homework, contact their class teacher for help.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Have your kids come home with packets of homework to complete?

Then do you and your child get into an argument about how to solve a simple math problem because you learned how to solve it one way, and now they have a different, seemingly longer and less efficient way?

That's where the Mandel Public Library comes in. They offer free tutoring to students ages K-12 by certified teachers.

In addition, kids can get help with long-term projects, test prep, and homework. Parents can come and get questions answered. The students also receive a healthy snack while they are tutored.

This is open to all Palm Beach County students from any municipality. You don't even need a library card.
