Staying in Help Desk or Leave for a better future?

24M yo, currently enrolled in 3rd year of an international commerce course in university in Italy. I just finished my first week as help desk in a good company, they treat me well and the job takes 2-4 hours out of 8 (3-4 calls per day for me and my supervisor, so it's not just for me). I always had a passion for cybersecurity and that's why I started studying for sec+, net+ (just for the knowledge), however ethical hacking was my goal. It wasn't just a simple interested like most, it was the fact that ethical hacking is absolutely practical, hands-on is the way.

I started studying again ethical hacking through the HTB academy in preparation for the OSCP (1-2 hours after work every day). I have the opportunity to continue my help desk job even after my 6 months contract expires with the company (full time, no internship), however my growth would be stalled since the job is stationary and nothing much will happen in the future. By staying I would gain some benefits for myself, however I would have to leave the cybersecurity field. It baffles me that a company with 150 employees and company secrets etc. doesn't have a single guy in cybersecurity, but that's another story.

I need an opinion from strangers cause I already asked my family and friends:

Should I work till I get the 1 year experience in IT(since it's my first experience in the field) and move on to work in penetration testing after getting the OSCP or should I stay and work with the company and try to get them to invest in me as a proto-security employee (training and stuff)?
