Special: Mbappé's spectacular presentation for Real Madrid
The French striker got a huge reception at a packed Santiago Bernabéu.
On 16 July 2024, Kylian Mbappé began his story as a Real Madrid player. The French striker was presented as a madridista in a Santiago Bernabéu that was packed out to welcome him. President Florentino Pérez ; the honorary president of Real Madrid, José Martínez Pirri; and Zidane were in charge of welcoming him on the stage located on the pitch of the stadium and surrounded by our 15 European Cups.
Florentino Pérez presented Mbappé to the fans: "The time has come to welcome an exceptional player who is coming to help us continue winning. A player who today fulfils the dream of his life." The Frenchman also addressed the Madrid fans: "I dream of living up to the standards of this club, which is the greatest in history."
Before the presentation ceremony, Mbappé began the day by passing a medical at the Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Moraleja. He then headed to Real Madrid City , where he signed his contract , which ties him to the club for the next five seasons. He then met Ancelotti and several of his teammates before heading to the Santiago Bernabéu .
After his presentation at our stadium, the Real Madrid striker gave a press conference in which he showed his great enthusiasm to begin this new stage at the club. "Playing for Real Madrid is my childhood dream, I've been waiting for this moment for a long time and I want to adapt as quickly as possible," Mbappé told the media. To end his presentation day, the new Real Madrid signing gave his first interview on Realmadrid TV : "I want to give everything for this shirt and this crest; I'm very happy and grateful for all the affection that the Madridistas have shown me." It was an unforgettable day for Mbappé and for the thousands of fans who filled the Santiago Bernabéu, which left a host of images to remember .

Kylian Mbappé emerged at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in a full Real Madrid kit for the first time as he was presented as the club’s latest signing on Tuesday. In front of 80,000 fans, he received an incredible reception and spoke in perfect Spanish to say, “Hello everyone, I’m going to try to speak in Spanish. Wow, it’s incredible to be here. I’ve dreamt about this for many years, I’m a very happy boy today… I’m very happy to be at the club of my dreams and the biggest club in the world.”

“I want to thank the President, Florentino Pérez, who believed in me from the start. Many things happened, but I want to say thank you.”

“I’ve always had this dream and I want to thank Madridistas, who have shown me so much love. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart, it means a lot to me to be here today.”
