ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਮਾਡਲ ਸਕੂਲ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੀ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਬਿਲਕੁੱਲ ਨਵੀਂ ਬਣੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ 30 ਕਮਰੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਕਮਰੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾਦਾਰ ਹਨ। ਹਰੇਕ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਲਰ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ। ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਫ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਾਟਰ ਫਿਲਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਠੰਡੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਈ ਵਾਟਰ ਕੂਲਰ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ। 

ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਭਗ 800 ਬੱਚੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇੱਥੇ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਕਲਾਸ ਤੱਕ ਪੜਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਪੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿਚ 55 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਬੜੇ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਜ਼ਰਬੇਕਾਰ ਹਨ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਸ਼ਤ-ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਰਕ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ-ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ-ਬੂਟੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿਚ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਹਨ। ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਲਾਇਬਰੇਰੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਲੈਬ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਕਰਾਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਕੂਲ ਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਨ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਕੂਲ ਖੂਬ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਕਰੇ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ।

ਪਿਛਲੇ ਹਫਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾਜੀਨਾਲ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਗਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਲਿਜਾ ਕੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟਿਕਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੀ । ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਬੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਤੀਰਥ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਸੀ । ਫਿਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੀਬੀ ਰਜਨੀ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਾਈ,ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਛੱਪੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਹੜ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ । ਉਸੇ ਛੱਪੜੀ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਅੱਜ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੈ।

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪੁੱਜਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦਾ ਅਦਭੁੱਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ 

ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ - ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਏ। ਸਾਡੀ ਬੱਸ ਅੱਡੇ ਤੇ ਰੁਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਕਸ਼ਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪੁੱਜੇ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸੀਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜੁੱਤੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਮਾਂ ਕਰਾਈਆਂ  ਫਿਰ ਹੱਥ - ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਪੈਰ ਧੋਣ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦੀ ਪਰਿਕਰਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਰ ਲਏ  ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ,ਦੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਉੱਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਅਦਭੁੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਿਆ  ਅਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲ ਪਏ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੰਜਨੀ ਬੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੇ । ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਰਜਨੀ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਹੜ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ । ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੌਣਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ  ਪਰਿਕਰਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਇੱਧਰ - ਉਧਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ  ਕਈ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਝਾੜੂ ਫੇਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ  ਮੈਂ ਪਰਿਕਰਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਦਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਉੱਕਰੇ ਦੇਖੇ  ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਉਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ,ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੈ । ਇੱਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ 101 ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਾਇਆ। ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਦੀ ਥਾਲੀ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੜ ਲਈ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਡਿਊੜੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੁਲ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲ ਪਏ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ-ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੈਰ ਧਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਚੜਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਰੁਪਏ ਚੜਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ  ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲਾ ਅਦਭੁੱਤ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ,ਮਨੋਹਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਗਨ ਬੈਠੀਆਂ ਸਨ  ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਰ ਚੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਮੀਨਾਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ । ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਸੀ । ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੜ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਪੁਲ ਤੇ ਆ ਗਏ  ਅਸੀਂ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰਦੀਆਂ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਂ  ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਲਿਆ ।

ਸਰਬ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਸਥਾਨ

ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕੇ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਸੂਚਕ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਧਰਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ । ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਫ਼ਕੀਰ ਸਾਈਂ ਮੀਆਂ ਮੀਰ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਰਖਵਾਈ ਸੀ।

ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਜਾਇਬ ਘਰ

ਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਡਿਉੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਫਿਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਜਾਇਬ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ, ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਥ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਆਦਿ ਦੇਖੇ।

ਹੋਰ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਜਲ੍ਹਿਆਂਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਗ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਅਟੱਲ, ਕੈਲਸਰ, ਰਾਮਸਰ, ਵਿਵੇਕਸਰ ਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖਸਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤੇ । ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ 1919 ਦੀ ਵਿਸਾਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ ਜਨਰਲ ਡਾਇਰ ਨੇ ਨਿਹੱਥੇ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੂਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਬੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਤੇ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲ ਪਏ ।

ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਹੜੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਭਰਿਆ-ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਨਵਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਮਾਘੀ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਕਥਾਵਾਂ ਜੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਲੋਕ-ਕਥਾ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈਇਸ ਦਿਲ ਡਾਕੂ ਦੁੱਲੇ ਭੱਟੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਰੀਬ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਤੇ ਮੰਦਰੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥੀ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਹਾਕਮ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੁਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਅੱਗ ਬਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਹ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ- “ਸੁੰਦਰ ਮੁੰਦਰੀਏ, ਤੇਰਾ ਕੌਣ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ, ਦੁੱਲਾ ਭੱਟੀ ਵਾਲਾ। ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਪੌਰਾਣਿਕ ਕਥਾ ‘ਸਤੀ-ਦਹਿਨ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਕਥਾ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਅਤਿਆਚਾਰੀ ਰਾਕਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਲੋਹੜੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ‘ਤਿਲ+ਰੋੜੀ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਤਿਲੋੜੀ ਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਬਣਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਸਰਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਸਰਦੀ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਪੂਰੇ ਜੋਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਧੂਣੀਆਂ ਬਾਲ ਕੇ ਪਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ।

ਦੁਜੀ ਜਨਮ ਸ਼ਤਾਬਦੀ: ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਬਾਨੀ ਸਨ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਸੀ। 2 ਨਵੰਬਰ, ਸੰਨ 1980 ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੋ ਸੌ ਸਾਲ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਜਨਮ-ਸ਼ਤਾਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਇਕ ਨਵੰਬਰ, 1981 ਤੱਕ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਿਜੀ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗਵਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਮੱਦਦ ਵੀ ਲਈ ਗਈ। ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਸ਼ਤਰਾਂ, ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਅਨੇਕ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਕਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਲਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ, ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਖ਼ਬਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਖੋਜ ਭਰੇ ਲੇਖ ਛਾਪੇ ਗਏ।

ਬਚਪਨ : ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 2 ਨਵੰਬਰ, ਸੰਨ 1780 ਨੂੰ ਗੁਜਰਾਂਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਚੱਕੀਆ ਮਿਸਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਘੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਮਹਾਂ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ।

ਬਚਪਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਤਲਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਉਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਅੱਖ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ। ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਵਰਗਵਾਸ : ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 12 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਸਵਰਗ ਸਿਧਾਰ ਗਏ। ਸ਼ੁਕਰਚੱਕੀਆ ਮਿਸਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਭਾਰ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਮੋਢਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਪਿਆ। ਆਪ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਨਈਆ ਮਿਸਲ ਦੀ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਸਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਮਹਿਤਾਬ ਕੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ। ਸਦਾ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ : ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਈਆ ਮਿਸਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਿਆ। ਆਪ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਉੱਚਾ ਲੰਮਾ ਸੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਾਗ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੰਨਾ ਜਲਾਲ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਦੇਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਘੋੜ ਸਵਾਰੀ, ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਸਤਰਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ੌਕ ਸੀ। ਆਪ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਸਤੀ, ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕੁੱਟ-ਕੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।

ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ : ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਿੰਨ-ਭਿੰਨ ਮਿਸਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਝੰਡੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਆਪ ਨੇ ਲਾਹੌਰ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੇ ਕਸੂਰ ਆਦਿ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਸੰਨ 1802 ਵਿਚ ਆਪ ਨੇ ‘ਸ਼ੇਰੇ-ਪੰਜਾਬ’ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਲਾਹੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਤਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਨੌਸ਼ਹਿਰਾ, ਬੰਨੂੰ, ਜਮਰੌਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ਾਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਸਰਦਾਰ ਹਰੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਲੂਏ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਨ ਹੇਠ ਆਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਆਪ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਜਰਨੈਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ। ਆਪ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਇਕ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪ ਨਾਲ ਅਮਨ ਤੇ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਧੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਲੋਕ ਸੇਵਕ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ : ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਪੜੇਲਿਖੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ, ਪਰੰਤੁ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਸਨ। ਆਪ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਭੇਸ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਘੁੰਮਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖੀ ਸਨ। ਆਪ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ-ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ, ਮਸੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਜਾਗੀਰਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਆਪ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ-ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਪਦਵੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਫ਼ਕੀਰ ਅਜ਼ੀਜ਼ਦੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਮੋਹਕਮ ਚੰਦ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਬੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਤੇ ਬੱਕਰੀ ਇਕੋ ਘਾਟ ’ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਰਾਜ-ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ : ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ-ਯੋਗ ਸੀ। ਆਪ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਛੋਟੇ-ਛੋਟੇ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੰਡਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਹਰ ਹਲਕੇ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ। ਦਾ ਲਗਾਨ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮੱਦਦ ਵੀ

ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ : ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਜੋਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਹ ਸੁਰਮਾ ਸੰਨ 1839 ਵਿਚ ਲਕਵੇ ਦੀ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
