  • Select the desired Course and Semester.

DU SOL Admit Card 2024

Delhi University School of Open Learning has published the DU SOL 2024 admit card at its official website. The pen and paper examination will be held in the month of August for both UG and PG. Students who want to download their admit card. Students must download their admit cards and carry the hardcopy of it while entering into the exam hall. 

Read the following steps to know how to download the SOL DU Admit Card: 

  • Visit the official website - sol.du.ac.in (link will be activated once the admit card releases)

Undergraduate Admissions 2024-25

The Department of Distance & Continuing Education, School of Open Learning, Campus of Open Learning, formerly known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, established under the University of Delhi in 1962, is a pioneer Institution in the field of Distance Education in India. 1. The Department of Distance & Continuing Education, School of Open Learning, Campus of Open Learning, University of Delhi has adopted UGCF-2022 (Under NEP 2020). The Curriculum and Syllabus of Department/School is the same as of University of Delhi.

2. As per Distance Education Board (DEB) guidelines CUET is not mandatory for the candidates to take admission in Department/School. 3. There is no seat limit (except B. A. Prog. with Computer Application & B. A. Prog. with Psychology ) hence candidates have to take direct admission in the programmes offered by the Department/School. However, candidate has to possess minimum eligibility of the programme. 4. The Last date to take admission is August 31, 2024 ( Subject to change as per the directions of UGC-DEB/DU ). 5. For Fees of programmes, refer the Prospectus. 6. For Eligibility of Offered Programmes, refer the Prospectus.

7. You are adviced to fill the another form for another Program because number of seats are limited in B. A Prog. with Computer Application & in B. A. Prog. with Psychology. 8. Admission to all UG Programmes of Department/School for the Academic Session 2024-25 will be through ( soladmission.samarth.edu.in ), based on the eligibility requirements stated in Prospectus and other rules as published by the SOL, University of Delhi on its website ( https://sol.du.ac.in ).

9. The online application process will be considered completed only after the payment of the Admission fee.

10. Candidates must check their Student Dashboard, Email, and Admission website ( soladmission.samarth.edu.in ) for all communications, updates and schedules related to admission.

11. PENDING FEE RECEIPT: If fee Receipt has not been generated and your payment has been deducted, then Login and click on Payment Button and cancel the payment (DO NOT PAY AGAIN) this process will generate your pending fee receipt.

12. Do not claim for refund/chargeback in the bank without following the point no.10.

13. Total fee shall be refunded to those students who withdraw their admission till the last date of regular mode of admission (2024 -25) in University of Delhi after deducting Rs. 500/- as processing charges.

Students can soon access the official webpage @web.sol.du.ac.in/info/hall-ticket—pg to download their DU SOL 2023 hall tickets. Merit-based admission is used for undergraduate programs, and entrance exam results are used for graduate entry.

BCom, BA, BCom (Hons), and BA (Hons) at the UG level as well as M.Com and MA at the PG level are all offered via distant education by DU SOL Admission.

For DU SOL UG admission, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of 50% in 10+2.

Any diploma from a four-year college or university is accepted for DU SOL admission to MA programs with an average overall score of 50%.

Registration fee: The registration fee is INR 500 for general applicants and INR 250 for SC/ST applicants.

admissions.sol.du.ac.in 2023–24

Numerous distance learning courses are offered by Delhi University’s School of Open Learning, and admissions for each have begun. The School of Correspondence Courses and Counting Education was its previous name.

Under the UG and PG categories, courses in science, commerce, and the arts are available. The School of Open Learning accepts online applications every year. Students can register before the deadline by visiting the official application page.

Different specialties are available in the Master’s degree, and students can select topics from any stream in accordance with their preferences. Registration dates will be released soon, and PG admissions will start in August. On the 2023–24, admission requirements and application forms will be made accessible.

2023 Direct Correspondence Admission for DU

For all UG programs provided in the remote learning mode for the session 2023–2023, DU SOL Direct Admission is conducted. Students can directly enroll in UG programs through the official website (www.sol.du.ac.in). No matter how well pupils perform in their 10+2 or upper secondary classes, it offers admission. The required minimum marks range from 65% to 38% for each UG program.

To apply for the class of 2023-2023, students are advised to fill out the online application form provided by the SOL DU official website. To register oneself, they must complete the requested personal and academic information forms and pay the required costs. Qualified applicants will be admitted upon the completion of the online application form.

The results of UG degree exams are used to fill 50% of the seats in PG programs. Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree from Delhi University or another university are eligible for PG admission on a merit-based basis with a minimum intake of 50%.

Admission 2023–2024 DU SOL

DU SOL UG Admission 2023–23 will soon have access to BA, BCom, and other programs. The SOL DU provides a variety of courses under UG Admission, and each of these courses has been available throughout the upper secondary, or 10+2, grades. Candidates will be picked based on their performance in 10+2 or an equivalent class.

Below is a list of the programs that are included in the UG degree.

Students who passed the 10+2 level with a 50% score and had English as one of their study subjects were eligible for the three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English program.
The Bachelor of Commerce is a three-year course that can be completed in six years. Students are selected for the course on the basis of their performance in the last qualifying exam.
For three years, students who have completed grades 10+2 can pursue a specialized Honours degree in political science through the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program. Students’ average grades in previous coursework in arts-related courses will be at least 50%.

Admission to DU SOL BA 2023–24

Applications for DU SOL BA Admission will soon start being accepted on the official website. Registration forms will be available on the official SOL webpage. SOL The three-year BA program at DU belongs to this stream’s arts/humanities division. The study of subjects including improvement, communication, history, politics, language, literature, etc., will be pursued by students. Six semesters make up the BA program, which has an annual enrolment cost of INR 5,040 (subject to change).

Students may apply for the SOL DU BA Program after clearing the 10+2 exam or its equivalent from a recognized Board of India.

DU BCom Admission SOL 2023–2024

Registration for the DU SOL BCom course 2023–24 will start in August. Over the course of three years, it focuses on improving a learner’s knowledge of business & management, financial accounting, economics fundamentals, language, literature, etc. The MCom program at SOL DU has a minimum duration of three years and a maximum duration of five years.

SOL DU BCom aspirants must have a minimum grade point average of 40% in 10+2 or an equivalent in order to be considered.

Fee: For a one-year cycle, the normal SOL DU BCom candidate fee is INR 5,040 (subject to change as per the year).

DU Admission to SOL BA (Hons) English

The humanities stream and constant evolution of the BA (Hons) English program under SOL DU have made it one of the most well-liked among young people. The syllabus’s framework, which masterfully teaches literature from many historical eras, is well-liked by candidates. Students in this course develop their reading abilities so they can respond to a range of novels, plays, and other literary works.

In order to be admitted to this three-year degree program, applicants must have at least a 65% average in their higher education or an equivalent, as well as 75% in English core coursework or 65% in English electives/functional English.

Fee: The DU SOL BA(Hons) in English costs INR 5,040 for the first year.

Admission to the DU SOL BA (Hons) in Political Science

The BA (Hons) Political Science program in humanities/arts gives students the chance to study political history from all over the world, including India’s past. This degree program has benefited students looking for jobs in connected industries.

Admission requirements for BA (Hons) Political Science at DU SOL include a minimum GPA of 50% in the 10+2 or a comparable exam. At the university, it takes a minimum of three years to finish this programme.

DU SOL Admission to B.Com (Hons)

A three-year program leading to a bachelor’s degree in commerce covers topics including taxation, accounting, financial management, economics, etc. Students interested in a career in accounting, commerce, finance, or banking are advised to pursue a B.Com(Hons) degree. Some of the courses offered in this curriculum include business mathematics, e-commerce, auditing, accounting, language, political science, compensation management, and advertising.

Students who have earned at least 55% or 60% in the vocational/technical stream with commerce are eligible for the B.Com. Hons program . If there are no pauses in enrolment, the degree program can be finished in as little as three years and up to five years.

Fee: This program’s first-year tuition is INR 5,040.

For any of the UG programs mentioned above, applicants may apply immediately through the official SOL DU website without having to take an entrance exam.

2023 DU SOL New Courses

DU SOL will be adding a number of new undergraduate courses for the 2023–2024 academic year. There is no unique application procedure for these courses; nevertheless, qualified individuals may submit their applications using the same procedure as for other UG courses. The new undergraduate courses offered by the DU SOL under the UG track are BBA (FIA), BMS, and a degree in BBA (Hons.) Economics.

DU SOL UG Admission Requirements

Candidates must have successfully finished their 10+2 exams with at least a 50% grade in three extracurricular courses in addition to one academic subject.

Candidates for the BA (Prog.)/B.Com must earn a grade point average of at least 50% throughout their top five subjects.

There are no prerequisites for SC/ST. SC/ ST candidates simply need to fulfil the 10+2 education criterion.

SOL Admission 2023–2024 DU

The entrance exams for the PG programs indicated are administered during the summer months of July and August and continue until November or December.

The PG degree in Arts has a duration of two years. Applicants will be admitted directly without taking an entrance exam. Applicants must have a UG degree. The tuition fee for one year will be  .
Students are enrolled in two-year degree programs based on merit. The performance is assessed by 50% in BCom and not by entrance exam scores. M.Com DU SOL admission will cost   annually.

Admission to DU SOL MA

Aim to finish a postgraduate program, especially an MA in Commerce, where the student obtains proficiency in a range of subjects over the course of two years, including business mathematics, eCommerce, accounting, auditing, political science, language, and compensation management.

Candidates are eligible for the MA in Commerce program at SOL DU if they have a bachelor’s degree with at least a 50% grade point average in the relevant stream and have passed the entrance exam (if they do not meet the requirements for direct admission, that is).

Fee: For the duration of the program, candidates must pay a minimum of 10,280 Indian rupees (roughly).

DU SOL MA Admission in Hindi

Humanities are represented at the post-graduate level via the MA Hindi Program . Candidates for the program must have earned their bachelor’s degree in Hindi from Sol or another university.

Candidates must take and pass the SOL DU entrance test in order to apply for admission to the MA Hindi program; otherwise, they must go via the direct admission procedure at SOL DU. 50% is the minimum mark needed to apply for admission on a bachelor’s degree or other equivalent qualification.

The program’s tuition is reasonable and is ideal for those who want to pursue a career teaching Hindi as a second language. The total cost of the MA in Hindi program is approximately INR 11,780.

DU Admission MA History SOL

In order to give students, the chance to learn more about history, the MA Course in History was developed. The curriculum is highly beneficial to applicants who want to work as teachers in educational institutions or convey knowledge to groups that emphasize history and culture.

The MA History program is a degree of higher education in the humanities and arts that is available after graduation. The duration of the program was increased to two years. The opportunity for applicants to study Indian and global history in depth is fantastic. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirement, which is a minimum of 50% in the pertinent topic in their bachelor’s, in order to be admitted.

Candidates must pay a fee of around 8,980 Indian rupees (for a two-year period).

Those who do not meet the requirements set forth by Sol Delhi for direct admission to the MA in History program must take the entrance test.

Admission to the MA in Political Science at DU

For postgraduates who want to pursue advanced study in political science, there is a two-year degree called the Master of Arts in Political Science. Candidates have the opportunity to learn about the description and analysis of political conduct on a PG level. For students who have already earned their bachelor’s degree in political science, the MA Political Science program falls within the humanities/arts stream and leads to a higher degree.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for admission to the MA Political Science program, a candidate must have a minimum GPA of 50% and pass an entrance exam. It does not meet the requirements for direct admission.

The cost of the two-year MA Political Science Master’s program is around 11,480 Indian rupees (INR).

DU Sanskrit Admission for SOL MA

The language-focused MA Sanskrit program was created for individuals who desire to use and become experts in the ancient language in order to attain an enhanced future. The program gives students the best chance to achieve their dreams of becoming professors or instructors due to the low level of competition.

The minimum program length required of students is two years. By clearing the admission exam, applicants can sign up for the program. If not, one must meet the requirements for direct admission.

50% in the bachelor of arts or its equivalent at the undergraduate level is the minimal score required for admission to the MA Sanskrit program. The program’s cost is roughly INR 11,480.

Admission DU SOL MA Social Science

For those students who have already earned their graduation from DU SOL or another accredited university, DU is providing an MA course in social science. Candidates will have several chances to launch their careers in the public or commercial sectors after completing this MA degree in social science.

Interested applicants for MA social science admission must have a graduation grade point average of at least 50% and be able to pass the college entrance exam. (It does not meet the requirements for direct admission eligibility.)

Fee: The approximate cost of the two-year MA Social Science Master’s program for candidates is INR 11,480.

DU 2023 SOL Application Form

You can obtain an application form and prospectus from the Main Centre on the North Delhi Campus or the South Study Centre in South Moti Bagh, New Delhi, for a fee of INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST/PH) in the form of a DD drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, School of Open Learning, the University of Delhi payable at New Delhi.”

2023 DU SOL Offline Admission Process

In September and October, the third stage of the OBE UG annual test for the BCom, BCom (Hons), BA (Hons), English, Political Science, and BA Programs was finished. SOL made the test schedule, which would be administered in September and October, public before the formal publication.

Admission to the MBA from DU SOL in 2024 requires applicants to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must have obtained a 10+2 qualification from a recognized board of education.
  • The student must hold a valid bachelor's degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks overall.
  • Candidates will also be assessed based on their valid work experience. Candidates without any work experience will also be eligible but their merit will be based only on their graduation scores.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Students

Foreign students must contact the FSR, or Foreign Student Registry, to get permission to enroll in the Delhi University SOL MBA. They must meet the same basic criteria, similar to those met by Indian students

  • Foreign applicants must additionally submit their high school diploma and graduation certificate to be admitted to MBA.
  • The applicant must have a valid two-year visa.
  • Copy of the visa and passport must be provided to the university's FSR department.

  • 80% weightage will be given to scores in Graduation.
  • 20% weightage of marks for working professionals of any reputed Government or non-government/Corporate Organization. The candidate must get the NOC from the employer.
  • 20% weightage will be given for minimum work experience of four years or more.
  • 15% weightage will be given for a minimum work experience of three years.
  • 10% weightage will be given for a minimum work experience of two years.
  • 5% weightage will be given for a minimum work experience of one year.
  • 0% weightage will be given for work experience of less than one year.

Students must enroll in the MBA from DU SOL as a whole to be admitted to the MBA degree program. This distance MBA is intended specifically for working individuals who do not have the time to attend traditional universities to get a management degree. For the purpose of ABE, students have to follow the process mentioned below:

1. Downloading of Question Paper

The Question Papers for all subjects/papers will be available on the SOL website (https://sol.du.ac.in) on 12 th August 2021 except the M.I.L papers which will be uploaded at a latter date.

The students are advised to download the question paper as per their admit card.

2. Answering the Question Paper

Students have towrite answers of any two out of four questions for Assignment Based Evaluation of each Subject/Paper. Each question carries equal marks.

Students will write the answers on A4 size papers (ruled or plain) in his/her own handwriting.

The answers will be written by students using blue or black pen only.

Students will write their School Roll No., Examination Roll No. and Paper Name and Code on the top of the front page of the Answer Sheet.

The numbering should be done on each page of the Answer Sheet

Students have to scan all pages of the Answer Sheets of a particular subject/paper and create one PDF File. Apart from that they are advised to name the PDF file same as the name of the paper for their easy reference.

3. Uploading of Answer Sheets

Paper-wise dates for uploading of the PDF file of the Answer Sheet have been provided in the date sheet as well as in the admit card. Students are required to go through it carefully and upload the PDF file of the specific subject/paper Answer Sheet on the date mentioned in the date sheet/admit card.

Students need to Log-in to their respective Dashboard available on the SOL website (https://sol.du.ac.in) to upload the saved PDF file of the specific Answer Sheet on the link provided for this purpose.

Students will be able to view their uploaded PDF file of the Answer Sheet.

In case by mistake, a student uploads a wrong Answer Sheet, he/she can withdraw the same after clicking the re-upload button with reason and re-upload the correct PDF file of the Answer Sheet within 30 Minutes.

Is there assignment in SOL?

Ans The I and II semester UG Courses students of SOL have to give Assignment Based Evaluation (ABE). The ABE will be separate for I and II semester students.

What is assignment based evaluation in DU?

In ABE mode of examination, students are given marks on the basis of subject-specific assignments submitted. The students do not need to appear in the end-semester examinations for being promoted to the next semester
