He is one of the most famous and influential poets and philosophers of Urdu. His poetry has been translated into many languages all over the world. He is considered one of the most significant literary figures in south Asia. According to a variant account, Iqbal was born in Sialkot on 9 November 1877 in Allahabad in 1876.

He received his early education in Sialkot, and then he went to Lahore for higher studies. In his honor, a poetry festival is held every November, having seminars, speeches, and mushairas of national and international poets. Iqbal was well versed in Arabic, Urdu, and Persian languages.

خواجہ غلام السیدین ہریانہ کے تاریخی قصبے پانی بہت میں پیدا ہوئے۔ ان کے والد خواجہ غلام انتقلین علی گڑھ کالج کے نامور طالب علم تھے اور والدہ مشتاق فاطمہ حالی کی پوتی تھیں۔ غلام السیدین کی ابتدائی اور ثانوی تعلیم پانی پت میں ہوئی۔ کالج کی تعلیم کے لیے وہ علی گڑھ گئے جہاں انھوں نے بی ۔اے اور بی ایڈ کیا اور پھر اعلی تعلیم کے لیے انگلستان گئے۔ وہاں سے آ کر علی گڑھ ٹیچر ٹر یننگ گئے۔ ٹیچرز ٹرینگ کالج میں لیکچرر ہوئے اور پھر پرنسپل ہو گئے۔ خواجہ غلام السید میں ماہر تعلیم تھے۔ انھوں نے آزادی سے پہلے اور آزادی کے بعد ہندوستان میں تعلیمی امور کے سلسلے میں کئی مقامات پر مختلف حیثیتوں سے کام کیا۔ انھوں نے گاندھی جی کی عملی تعلیم سے متعلق ڈاکٹر ذاکر حسین کے ساتھ خاکہ تیار کیا۔

غلام السید ین کو اردو زبان اور ادب سے بھی بہت دلچسپی تھی۔ انھوں نے اردو میں تعلیم اور ادب سے متعلق کئی کتابیں لکھی ہیں۔ ان کی مشہور کتاب آندھی میں چراغ ہے۔جس پر انھیں ساہتیہا اکادمی کا انعام بھی ملا۔ حکومت ہند نے ان کی تعلیمی خدمات پر انھیں پدم بھوشن کے خطاب سے نوازا۔ انھیں دنیا کے سات ماہر میں تعلیم میں شمار کیا جا تا تھا۔

خواجہ غلام السیدین کی نثر نہایت سادہ لیکن پر زور اور مؤثر ہوئی ہے۔ وہ اپنی بات کو بیان کرنے کے لیے چھوٹے چھوٹے الفاظ سے وہ کام لیتے ہیں جو بہت سے لوگ بڑے بڑے الفاظ سے بھی نہیں لے سکتے۔

یہ سبق “جینے کا سلیقہ”خواجہ غلام السیدین کا مضمون ہے۔جس میں انھوں نے ایک موثر اور بہترین زندگی جینے کے ہنر سے آشنا کیا ہے۔ انھوں نے اس مضمون کے ذریعے ایک متوازن معاشرتی زندگی گزارنے کے اصول و قواعد کے ساتھ صحیح معنوں میں زندگی گزارنے کا ڈھنگ سکھایا ہے۔

بہتر زندگی گزارنے کا ڈھنگ اور ترقی کے لیے قربانی کے عمل کے جذبے کو اجاگر کرنا سکھایا ہے۔ وہ بڑی شخصیات مثلاً سر تیج بہادر سپرو، سروجنی نائیڈو، مولانا آزاد،سید راس مسعود ، ڈاکٹر اقبال ، ڈاکٹر ذاکر حسین کا ذکر کرتے کہ ان کی محفل سے کبھی اٹھنے کا جی نہ چاہتا کہ ان کی باتیں دلچسپی سے بھر پور ہوتی تھیں۔

اچھے لوگوں اور اچھی کتابوں کے علاوہ وہ کامیاب زندگی میں کام کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرتے ہیں اور لکھتے ہیں کہ کام بے مقصد نہیں ہوتا۔کام کچھ کر کے وقت کاٹ دینے کا نام نہیں ، کام خالی دل ہی نہیں ، کام کھیل نہیں،کام کام ہے۔ بامقصد محنت ہے۔ کام دشمن کی طرح آپ کا محاسبہ کرتا ہے اور اس میں جو پورا اتر تا ہے، تو وہ خوشی دیتا ہے جو اور کہیں نہیں ملتی۔

کام ریاضت ہے ، کام عبادت ہے۔ واقعہ یہ ہے کہ انسان کی شخصیت اس وقت تک کسی حسین سانچے میں نہیں ڈھل سکتی ، جب تک اس کے دل میں اس انداز سے کام کرنے کی لگن پیدا نہ ہو، حقیر سے حقیر کام میں معنی اور لطف پیدا ہوسکتا ہے۔ بشرطیکہ کام کر نے والا اس کا رشتہ بڑے مقصد کے ساتھ قائم کرے۔ جینے کے اس سلیقے کے لیے صرف بڑے اصولوں کی پابندی ضروری نہیں ہے بلکہ آپس کے میل جول میں دوستی اور مہربانی ، معاملات میں انصاف، سچائی اور بھروسا مل جل کر کام کرنا ، دوسروں کے حقوق کی پاسداری اور ان کی رائے کا احترام ،خوش مزاجی اور ظرافت اور خواہ خواہ کی دل شکنی اور بدگوئی سے پر ہیز کو بھی اپنایا جائے۔دل تنگی ، بد نیتی اور شہبے کی ذہنیت سراسر گھاٹے کا سودا ہے۔

جو شخص اس قسم کی طبیعت اور دل و دماغ رکھتا ہے وہ نہ خود خوش رہتا ہے اورنہ دوسروں کو خوش رکھتا ہے۔ برخلاف اس کے خوش مزاجی روز مرہ کی زندگی اور کی طبیعت اور دل و دماغ رکھتا ہے وہ بہت خوشی سے زندگی بسر کر سکتا ہے۔ ان کی یہ خوش مزاجی زندگی میں لطف اور شیرینی پیدا کرتی ہے اور صحیح قسم کی ظرافت بہت سی ناگواریوں کا علاج ہے۔

وہ ظرافت جس کا مقصد دل دکھانا نہ ہو، جو دل سوزی اور ہمدردی کے ساتھ حماقتوں پر طنز کرے لیکن کسی کی ذاتی تحقیر نہ کرے، جو دوسروں سے زیادہ خود اپنی حماقتوں کا خاکہ اڑاۓ اور اپنے بارے میں دوسروں کی ظرافت کو جھیل سکے۔ جو محض خود کو بہت اہم سمجھتا ہے، اپنی شان میں گستاخی نہیں کر سکتا۔وہ لوگ جن کو اپنی طبیعت پر ضبط نہیں،جو اپنی دولت، خاندان اور منصب کو نہ بھلا سکے۔جو خود بھی ان سے مرعوب رہے اور دوسروں کو بھی اس کے رعب میں رکھنے کی کوشش کرے وہ لوگ جینے کے سلیقے سے نا آشنا ہیں۔

گفتگو کے عمل پر توجہ کرواتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں کہ اچھی گفتگو کے ذریعے ہم اپنے مخالفین کے دل جیت سکتے ہیں۔اچھی گفتگو کے ذریعے ہم کسی کی دل آزاری کرنے اور کسی کی شخصیت میں عیب تلاشنے جیسے عمل سے بچ سکتے ہیں۔ اچھی گفتگو ہماری تربیت کی عکاسی کے ساتھ ساتھ ہمارے فکری رویوں کو بھی پروانے چڑھانے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتی ہے۔ انسانی شخصیت کی تکمیل محض اس کی تربیت سے ممکن نہیں بلکہ اس میں جذبات کی عکاسی کا ہونا بھی بہت ضروری ہے۔جب ہی زندگی کی نعمتوں سے صیح طور پر لطف اٹھانا ممکن ہے۔

کام کی اہمیت کے حوالے سے ڈاکٹر ذاکر حسین لکھتے ہیں کہ کام بے مقصد نہیں ہوتا۔کام کچھ کر کے وقت کاٹ دینے کا نام نہیں ، کام خالی دل ہی نہیں ، کام کھیل نہیں،کام کام ہے۔ بامقصد محنت ہے ۔ کام دشمن کی طرح آپ اپنا محاسبہ کرتا ہے اور اس میں جو پورا اتر تا ہے، تو وہ خوشی دیتا ہے جو اور کہیں نہیں ملتی۔ کام ریاضت ہے ، کام عبادت ہے ۔ واقعہ یہ ہے که انسان کی شخصیت اس وقت تک کسی حسین سانچے میں نہیں ڈھل سکتی ، جب تک اس کے دل میں اس انداز سے کام کرنے کی لگن پیدا نہ ہو، حقیر سے حقیر کام میں معنی اور لطف پیدا ہوسکتا ہے۔ بشرطیکہ کام کر نے والا اس کا رشتہ بڑے مقصد کے ساتھ قائم کرے۔

دل تنگی ، بد نیتی اور شہبے کی ذہنیت سراسر گھاٹے کا سودا ہے۔ جو شخص اس قسم کی طبیعت اور دل و دماغ رکھتا ہے وہ نہ خود خوش رہتا ہے اورنہ دوسروں کو خوش رکھتا ہے۔ برخلاف اس کے خوش مزاجی روز مرہ کی زندگی اور کی طبیعت اور دل و دماغ رکھتا ہے وہ بہت خوشی سے زندگی بسر کر سکتا ہے۔ ان کی یہ خوش مزاجی زندگی میں لطف اور شیرینی پیدا کرتی ہے اور صحیح قسم کی ظرافت بہت سی ناگواریوں کا علاج ہے۔ وہ ظرافت جس کا مقصد دل دکھانا نہ ہو، جو دل سوزی اور ہمدردی کے ساتھ حماقتوں پر طنز کرے لیکن کسی کی ذاتی تحقیر نہ کرے، جو دوسروں سے زیادہ خود اپنی حماقتوں کا خاکہ اڑاۓ اور اپنے بارے میں دوسروں کی ظرافت کو جھیل سکے۔ جو محض خود کو بہت اہم سمجھتا ہے، اپنی شان میں گستاخی نہیں کر سکتا۔

مصنف کی نظر میں کیسے لوگ جینے کے سلیقے سے نا آشنا ہیں؟

وہ لوگ جن کو اپنی طبیعت پر ضبط نہیں،جو اپنی دولت، خاندان اور منصب کو نہ بھلا سکے۔جو خود بھی ان سے مرعوب رہے اور دوسروں کو بھی اس کے رعب میں رکھنے کی کوشش کرے وہ لوگ جینے کے سلیقے سے نا آشنا ہیں۔

اچھی گفتگو کے ذریعے ہم کس طرح کامیابی حاصل کر سکتے ہیں؟

اچھی گفتگو کے ذریعے ہم اپنے مخالفین کے دل جیت سکتے ہیں۔اچھی گفتگو کے ذریعے ہم کسی کی دل آزاری کرنے اور کسی کی شخصیت میں عیب تلاشنے جیسے عمل سے بچ سکتے ہیں۔ اچھی گفتگو ہماری تربیت کی عکاسی کے ساتھ ساتھ ہمارے فکری رویوں کو بھی پروانے چڑھانے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتی ہے۔

مصنف نے اس مضمون میں کیا سمجھانے کی کوشش کی ہے؟ مختصر لکھیے۔

مصنف نے اس مضمون کے ذریعے ایک متوازن معاشرتی زندگی گزارنے کے اصول و قواعد کے ساتھ صحیح معنوں میں زندگی گزارنے کا ڈھنگ سکھایا ہے۔ بہتر زندگی گزارنے کا ڈھنگ اور ترقی کے لیے قربانی کے عمل کے جذبے کو اجاگر کرنا سکھایا ہے۔

اس مضمون میں ایک جگہ دولفظ آۓ ہیں بامقصد اور بے مقصد ۔ ان الفاظ میں صرف بے اور با“ کے استعمال سے لفظ کے معنی ہی بدل گئے ہیں یعنی با مقصد جس کا کوئی مقصد ہو اور بے مقصد جس کا کوئی مقصد نہ ہو۔ آپ بھی ایسے چند الفاظ لکھیے جن میں بے اور با کا استعمال کیا گیا ہو۔

با شعور بے شعور، با مروت بے مروت، باقاعدہ بے قاعدہ، بامعنی بے معنی وغیرہ۔

مصنف اپنی بات میں زور اور اثر پیدا کرنے کے لیے کبھی بھی تاریخی واقعات کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے۔ اس مضمون میں بھی مصنف نے ایک صوفی حضرت منصور حلاج کی طرف اشارہ کیا ہے۔ انھوں نے ایک خاص کیفیت میں انالحق ( میں خدا ہوں ) کہہ دیا تھا۔ لوگوں نے یہ سمجھا کہ وہ خدائی کا دعوی کر رہے ہیں ، جس کی وجہ سے بادشاہ وقت نے انھیں سزائے موت دی تھی۔ اسی کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوۓ آپ مندرجہ ذیل تاریخی اشارات کے بارے میں اپنے استاد سے پوچھ کر لکھیے۔

قارون کا خزانہ:

اس تلمیح میں گنج قارون یعنی قارون کے خزانے کی طرف اشارہ ہے۔ قارون مصر کا بادشاہ تھا اور کہا جاتا ہے کہ اس کا خزانہ اتنا زیادہ اور بڑا تھا کہ محض اس کے خزانوں کی چابیاں ہی کئی سو اونٹوں پرلادی جاتی تھیں۔

نمرود کی خدائی:

نمرود کی خدائی بھی ایک تلمیح ہے۔ نمرود وہ انسان تھا جس نے اپنے وقت میں نہ صرف خدائی کا دعویٰ کیا بلکہ اس وقت کے پیغمبر حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کو زندہ آگ میں ڈالنے کا حکم بھی صادر کیا تھا۔

حسن یوسف کی تلمیح حضرت یوسف علیہ السلام کے آنکھوں کو خیرہ کر دینے والے حسن کے واقعے کی طرف اشارہ کرتی ہے کہ جب ان کے اس حسن کو دیکھ کر نہ صرف زلیخا ان پر دل ہار بیٹھی بلکہ کئی عورتوں نے بے ساختگی میں اپنے ہاتھ کاٹ ڈالے تھے۔
