My school trip essay

School trips leave a great impact in the mind of the student, where he goes without his family, with his friends and colleagues, which allow him to rely on himself and take responsibility and enjoy the activities of the trip.

Each school planning for trips is as a recreational and educational way, supervised by social workers and school supervisors, who planning visits, ticketing, bus booking, etc.

I went on a school trip to (name of the city) of (Governorate name). of (city area in km) and (population number) approximately.

I prepared my small bag and put sandwiches, juice and water for the trip. I went to sleep early to wake up early to be full of energy on the journey.

We rode the bus in front of the school in the early morning and we left our parents and friends who did not come with us.

The bus driver displayed a documentary about the city we were going to visit and the tour supervisor told us about the directions and instructions we should follow and how to act in case of lost. He provided us emergency numbers and asked us to write them in a paper and keep in our pocket.

We arrived at our destination and started visiting the (museum name) which is a large museum featuring many important items that tell us the history of the city.

Then we went to visit the open museum which is an open area with many beautiful items.

Then we went to visit the important landmarks of the city.

The last stop of the trip was to visit the amusement park, a recreational city with lots of games.

The supervisor gave us two hours to enjoy our time, play the games we want and assemble before the door of the amusement park in preparation for riding the bus and back to our city.

We gathered two hours later in front of the amusement park door, the supervisor checked everyone’s presence and then we boarded the bus and returned to our city.

It was a beautiful day we enjoyed it a lot and we saw many of the city’s famous sights.

We learned a lot about its history and the history of its inhabitants.

Finally, we reached our city late at night. Our families were waiting for us.

We thanked the tour supervisor and went to our homes to sleep and prepare for school the next day.

a memorable school trip essay

It’s great to enjoy a little bit away from school and home for rejuvenation and energy, and this is exactly what happened. After working hard and excelling in school, I was able to go out on an unforgettable school trip. Through this trip, I was able to define my goals and benefit greatly from them.

This was an excursion to one of the seminars of the great Steve Jones. Just being in the midst of this huge crowd of scientists, inventors and businessmen made me know what I want to become in the future, and what are my upcoming priorities.

On this journey I was able to find answers to many of my questions and found the inspiration I wanted. Now I want to become in the future an inventor of something useful that benefits humanity and achieve great success for me, whether material or moral, through fame.

It is wonderful to know the importance of technology to society and how we inevitably go to it and the development of all means of services around us. And with just a little bit of clinging to the dream and fighting for it like Steve did, I can certainly succeed too.

simple essay on school trip

I feel very happy to go on a trip to the football stadium. This was a big surprise for us, to be able to watch an important match with friends.

Of course, I watched many matches with my family before, but this time the experience is different because it is with my friends and I was able to express and launch my enthusiasm, without feeling any pressure.

I enjoy this experience so much, and for sure I want to repeat this experience in other activities. Now I can’t wait to go home and tell my brother about this experience, and that in the future he should try going out with his friends on school trips and enjoying this holiday. It gives great psychological comfort and a boost of activity that helps to return to study with full vitality and activity.

essay on school trip to a park

Oh my gosh, I can’t describe the beauty of nature that I enjoyed during my last school trip. There is a very big difference between the constant presence between the big and fast industrial life and the relaxation in the vast gardens and parks that do not contain any noise.

It is great to go through this experience and go to one of the most beautiful parks that contain very beautiful gardening works and organized views of trees and roses.

The wonderful engineering work that I saw in the park is one of the best landscapes that my friends and I enjoyed watching.

And certainly immediately we felt the amount of interest and love from the people responsible for this place, and how they can preserve and show this place this beauty.

Of course I would love to go back on a school trip to the park and enjoy physical games with my friends like we did. This was one of the things I enjoyed in nature. It is great to find large green areas. This helped me relax a lot.

school tour experience essay

I would very much like to write an article about my experience in the last school tour, and point out the things I liked the most.

I find this tour very different from many of our previous tours. Previously, the tour was in only one place, and curiosity and enthusiasm ended before the tour ended.

But certainly this was different when we were able to visit many places in the same tour, such as the museum, the garden and the library. All of these places had a different effect.

We find when visiting the museum and meeting one of the guides working in the museum that he has that interesting and funny way of explaining the holdings. It makes you want to know more about its origin and the civilization it comes from.

But due to the lack of time, this made me even more excited, eager to listen. I am also eager to see another place and enjoy. This made it more beautiful and did not leave any way for boredom.

When visiting the library, I was able to sign one of the famous books and see some of the authors of these books. I always watched this event through movies only. It is great to try this experience and get some interesting and useful books.

But certainly nothing is so wonderful after a long day of listening and paying attention as visiting the park and walking around it to release all that energy.

I cannot describe the beauty of how I felt in the experience of the games and activities that we did inside the park. I can say this was the best school trip experience I’ve ever had.

a school field trip essay in English

One of the great school field trips I enjoyed was this trip, this weekend we were able to go on a school field trip to the zoo.

And there were a lot of interesting animals that wanted to feed and take pictures, many pictures with them. But of course, every field trip cannot pass without new experiences, some of which you will benefit from and others that delight you.

I can’t stop laughing whenever I remembered the monkeys, and how they used to behave, I can’t believe how smart this animal is, and how it can make you happy at any time. And also watching the peacock, what a beauty!, I did not feel the consistency and beauty of the colors, as I saw in this bird.

It was wonderful to learn some information about the habitat of many animals, which made me very eager to read about them, how they live and how important the group is to them, and how to unite among them, such as the blue whale and other collective animals that live in groups and like the wolf as well.

Certainly this field trip was very wonderful and contained a lot of information that I benefited from.

How to Write a Field Trip Report

How to Create a Nursing Practicum Journal

How to Create a Nursing Practicum Journal

Visiting the Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., or touring the wetlands in Florida are two examples of exciting and educational field trips for middle school and high school students. You might take notes during your trip, so you can come up with an interesting thesis for your assigned field trip report. For example, you might write about a shuttle launching or an unusual creature who lives in the wetlands. Field trip reports should include a compelling introduction, a well-structured body and a strong conclusion. Discuss your favorite elements of the trip, so your assignment reads like a personal observation report or narrative essay.

Lead with Interesting Introduction

Start your introduction with information that leads up to your thesis statement, which is usually the last sentence of your introduction. You might focus on an interesting anecdote from your trip or discuss particular features that made an impression on you. Use these tidbits to develop your thesis. For example, you might create a three-point thesis, such as "The wetlands in Florida have vulnerable ecosystems, experience climate changes and endure seasonal flooding." If your teacher wants a technical field trip report, start with an abstract -- a brief summary paragraph -- that clearly explains where you went and what you learned during the field trip. Use research or literature to support your statements in your field trip report. For example, if you visited a local arboretum, you might use information from display placards to describe your favorite types of foliage and their seasonal life cycles.

Provide Facility Details

Discuss the field trip location by describing the facilities and explaining what you saw or experienced. For example, if you visited an astronomy observatory, discuss viewing areas and the telescopes you used. If you were using inside telescopes, describe the height of the domed ceilings, the different types of lighting and the approximate distance to the stars or planets. By providing extensive details, you show your teacher that you were paying close attention to the instructor, or in the observatory example, to the astronomer's explanations. You might also discuss any handouts or educational materials you received during the field trip.

Discuss Surprising Findings

Explain in your field trip report any new information or details that took you by surprise and include statistical data to support your findings. This type of data shows that you learned something during the field trip. For example, if you visited an underground cave, you might discuss a particular type of bat or an unusual plant that grows in the cave. Use outside research or information from the tour guide to support your data, and cite your references clearly, so your teacher knows where you got the information. When possible, use academic journals or magazines to support details in your observation report of the field visit.

End with Compelling Conclusion

Conclude your field trip report with a summary of your overall experience, including reasons why others might want to visit the location. You might include a brief summary of a personal discussion you had with the tour guide or field trip facilitator or cite a distinguishable fact from your research. If you participated in any hands-on activities or your class was allowed to see behind the scenes, you might end your paper by discussing those highlights. For example, if you visited a science center, you might discuss fossils you examined, electricity experiments you participated in, or hands-on experiments with wind tunnels that allowed you to examine weather patterns.

Take the Classroom on the Road With Field Trips

Field trips are fun! You get to put down the books and pencils and drive to a new location with interesting things to see and experience. And more than likely, there will be a restaurant meal on the schedule.

Make It a Learning Experience

Of course, field trips still provide learning opportunities as kids engage with historic sites or works of art in person. Even the most vivid book can be supplemented by a real-life experience. The things your children have only read about come alive as they are seen, heard, or even felt during a field trip.

To get the biggest educational bang out of your field trip, there are some things to do before, during and after the experience.

Caveat: You may want to merely experience a concert, museum, or national park without analyzing it in these ways. If so, that's fine. But if you want to take the field trip to a deeper level of learning and create a field trip report, continue reading my hints.

While You Are on the Field Trip

To write an excellent field trip report, there are things you should do during the trip itself. If you neglect to do these things, writing your report will be more difficult. Prepare to do these things on your trip:

Clipboards are perfect for taking notes while on foot. I encourage my daughter to jot down interesting facts, sketch things she sees, or even write questions that she wants to answer through further research.

Once at a quiet dinosaur museum, she spent several minutes sketching plesiosaur fossil. That sketch later became part of the field trip report in her science notebook.

It's too easy to forget fascinating statistics, years that events occurred, and names of animals . Don't rely on your memory. Write it down.

Connect to Previous Learning

You don't want to be constantly referring to school lessons during a field trip, but encourage your children to find connections between what you've already studied and what they are seeing in person. Hopefully this will happen naturally.

Questions Not to Ask Adoptive Parents (and Those You Can)

I was thrilled when my daughter identified the artists of some of the paintings we saw at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Other times, she did not recognize the art, and I would prompt her to look closely and make a guess.

In the Ancient Greece section, my daughter spent time explaining some of the artifacts to her dad who was a bit rusty on his ancient history. She had just studied that time of history, and was eager to teach him what she knew. Teaching is learning twice!

Sometimes a field trip opportunity arises that deals with a topic you've not yet studied. That's perfectly okay! Go ahead and enjoy. When you do get to that subject of study in your academics, your child will have a frame of reference for the new material.

Take Photographs

Giving your child a camera is a great way to get him involved in the field trip and slow him down a bit if he has a tendency to speed through an exhibit. My daughter used her iPod at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to take photos of her favorite pieces and at Independence National Park to take photos of the places that most impressed her. Each time she looks at the images, she is reviewing what she saw on our field trip.

The photos serve as a great reminder of the details of your field trip once you are home and writing a field trip report.

Collect Realia

Stuff your pockets and tote bag with all the free maps, brochures, pamphlets, and flyers that you can find. The facts listed on those promotional materials are perfect for fleshing out a field trip report. Moreover, the full color images can be cut out and used to embellish a report or a notebooking page.

Be sure to look at the information desk and ask for good materials. Sometimes the best brochures are behind the desk. All it takes to get them is to show your interest. At our trip to Independence National Park, we were talking about the Junior Ranger Program with a park ranger. At the close of our talk, he reached under the counter and gave all three of us free Junior Park Ranger badges! If we had not been in conversation with this man, we would have never gotten the badge. So it pays to engage the docents and other employees working at your field trip locale.

What to Include in a Field Trip Report

Now that the trip is over, gather all your notes , photographs and realia together to plan your field trip report . For young children, a simple worksheet format is enough (see the free printables linked above). Or you may want to create some notebooking pages to document all you learned and collected. Middle school and high school students can develop the field trip report into a complete essay.

The Parts of a Written Field Trip Report:

The logistics.

In your introduction, state the basics: where, when, who, how, and what. Be sure to use the full name of the location of your field trip and include the city and state. Give some background on the site, being sure to share what is the significance of your field trip destination. Is it a historical site? If so, for what event or time period? If it is science related, share what field of science is the focus.

The Heart of the Trip

The bulk of your field trip report should share what you learned while you were there. (Things which you already knew before going on the trip but that you observed should also be discussed.)

What did you learn, observe, or experience about history, science, or the arts as a result of this field trip? Talk about those concrete facts.

Arrange your information in a logical order. Consider using these options:

  • physical layout of the field trip locale
  • chronological order of the events that were re-enacted
  • least favorite to most favorite experiences

The Insights

This is where you can get personal. Share your own reactions to what you saw, heard, and experienced. You can critique parts of the field trip, raise questions, or draw conclusions. At the very least, share what most impressed you, either for good or for bad.

  • a map showing your route to the field trip
  • a map of the location
  • photos, brochures, and pamphlets
  • sketches drawn on site

This content is accurate and true to the best of the author’s knowledge and is not meant to substitute for formal and individualized advice from a qualified professional.

Thanks for Your Comments

Marie Alana from Ohio on February 05, 2013:

This is a fantastic idea. It seems like your daughter really got into the field trip. I hope you keep the report, years later she may still remember this trip. My child goes to school and I collect a good amount of papers. Then, I put it into a special book.

Leah Lefler from Western New York on January 31, 2013:

This is great - I don't homeschool, but I do a similar system over our vacations and summers. My boys are 5 and 7, and we collect maps and brochures from the places we visit. Each location gets a page or two, and we bind them together at the end of the summer. This past year we went to a fossil dig site, on several hikes (we took rubbings of the leaves we found), and on a trip to Washington, D.C. The kids love remembering the fun places we visited, and also remember the trip more because we made a book about it. The trip journals are also fantastic (and cheap) souvenirs!

RTalloni on January 31, 2013:

Congrats on your Hub of the Day award for this top-notch guide to teaching a child to write a homeschool field trip report! Pinning to my home education/school board.

Stephanie Bradberry from New Jersey on January 31, 2013:

I am a big proponent of homeschooling. I find that the learning environment and rigor are great for most of the families and kids that chose or choose this option. Like anything, it is not for everyone, but I have had the pleasure of meeting nothing but excellent home schooled students.

kingkos on January 31, 2013:

Miss the old days, Miss my field trip with my classmate and my teacher before. Nice information in your hub

Educateurself on January 31, 2013:

thebookmom from Nebraska on October 11, 2011:

What a great and useful hub. I love the idea of a field trip clipboard to keep stuff in. We usually do collect a lot of info while on site! I like the idea of sketches and photos to use in the report later on. Great, specific ideas and tons of good resources. Voted up!

Deadsearose on April 29, 2011:

Nice hub! I don't homeschool But I still try to find opportunities to teach my six eager learners outside of school and this seems like something they would really enjoy doing.

kirsteno on April 28, 2011:

Thanks for the hub! I'm a homeschooler, and my little guy is just getting big enough for some of the more meaty field trips. I appreciate the information.

My Adventurous Trip Essay Example #1

Traveling is one of the most exciting experiences one can have in life. It allows us to explore new places, meet different people, and create unforgettable memories. My recent adventurous trip was one such experience that I will cherish for a lifetime. The trip involved hiking through a dense forest, crossing a river, and reaching the summit of a mountain, where I enjoyed a breathtaking view. Despite facing challenges such as unpredictable weather and rough terrain, the trip was a memorable and rewarding experience. In this essay, I will share my experience of this adventurous trip, highlighting the challenges, the exhilarating moments, and the memories that I will cherish forever.

Our trip started with hiking through a dense forest. The forest was full of tall trees, colorful flowers, and chirping birds. The trail was steep and rocky, and we had to be careful while walking. The forest was so dense that we could hardly see the sun, and the air was full of freshness. We had to take breaks in between to catch our breath and hydrate ourselves. As we walked, we could hear the sound of a river, and after a few hours of hiking, we finally reached the river. The river was wide and had a strong current, and we had to cross it to continue our journey. We had to be careful while crossing the river, and we held hands to maintain our balance. The water was cold, and we could feel the current pushing us, but we made it to the other side, feeling proud of ourselves.

Despite facing challenges such as unpredictable weather and rough terrain, the trip was a memorable and rewarding experience. We had to face unexpected rain and strong winds, which made the climb more challenging. We slipped a few times, but we managed to keep going, motivated by the thought of reaching the summit. The journey was long and tiring, but the memories we created were worth it. We bonded with our fellow travelers, shared laughter, and created memories that we will cherish forever. The trip taught us to be resilient, to push ourselves beyond our limits, and to appreciate the beauty of nature.

In conclusion, my adventurous trip was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to explore the beauty of nature, push my limits, and create memories that I will cherish forever. Hiking through a dense forest, crossing a river, and reaching the summit of a mountain were challenging but rewarding experiences. Despite facing unpredictable weather and rough terrain, we persevered and created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. The trip taught us the importance of resilience, perseverance, and appreciation for the beauty of nature. It was an experience that I will always treasure and would love to relive again.

My Adventurous Trip Essay Example #2

Hiking was one of the most exciting activities of the trip. We started our hike early in the morning, and the trail was challenging, but the view was worth it. The trail led us through dense forests, and we saw wildflowers, butterflies, and birds along the way. We stopped for a break at a small waterfall, and the sound of the water was soothing. As we continued our hike, we came across a steep incline, which was physically demanding, but we pushed on. At the peak, we were rewarded with an incredible view of the valley below. The sense of accomplishment we felt after completing the hike was indescribable.

Camping was another activity that added to the adventure of the trip. We set up our tents near a lake, and the view was breathtaking. We spent the night sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories. The night sky was clear, and we saw countless stars, which was a beautiful sight. The next morning, we woke up early to go kayaking on the lake. The water was calm, and we saw fish jumping out of the water. We even saw a family of ducks swimming nearby. Kayaking was a peaceful and relaxing experience.

Narrative Essay on How I spent my holiday

Narrative essay generator.

Holidays hold a special place in everyone’s life, offering a respite from the routine of daily tasks and providing an opportunity to explore, relax, and create unforgettable memories. This year, I decided to spend my holiday in a way that was both enriching and exhilarating. I ventured on a journey to a small coastal town, renowned for its pristine beaches, rich culture, and vibrant local life. This narrative essay unfolds the experiences, discoveries, and personal growth I encountered during my holiday.

The Journey Begins

My adventure commenced with the excitement of traveling to a place I had never visited before. The anticipation built up as I packed my bags, ensuring I had everything needed for a week of exploration. The journey to the coastal town was a scenic delight, with winding roads flanked by lush greenery and the occasional glimpse of the ocean’s horizon promising a serene escape.

Exploring the Coastal Town

Upon arrival, the beauty of the town exceeded my expectations. The air was filled with the salty breeze of the sea and the streets buzzed with the energy of daily life. My first day was spent wandering through the town, taking in the sights and sounds. I visited local markets, where I marveled at the craftsmanship of the artisans and indulged in the town’s culinary delights, tasting dishes that were a fusion of traditional recipes and the bounty of the sea.

The Heart of Nature

The following days were dedicated to exploring the natural wonders surrounding the town. I embarked on hikes through nearby trails, each revealing breathtaking views of the landscape. The highlight was a trek to a secluded beach, accessible only by a narrow path through the cliffs. The effort was rewarded with a serene beach, untouched by the hustle and bustle of tourist spots. Here, I spent hours swimming in the clear waters, reading under the shade of palm trees, and reflecting on the simple pleasures of life.

Cultural Immersion

My holiday was not just about relaxation but also about immersing myself in the local culture. I attended a traditional dance performance, where the rhythmic beats and expressive movements of the dancers told stories of the town’s history and folklore. I also participated in a cooking class, learning to prepare local dishes that combined fresh seafood with exotic spices, gaining not only culinary skills but also insights into the lifestyle and traditions of the people.

The Bond of Friendship

One of the most unexpected and rewarding aspects of my holiday was the friendships I formed. Whether it was conversations with local residents, sharing stories with fellow travelers, or the camaraderie with the host of my accommodation, these connections added depth to my experience. Through these interactions, I gained a richer understanding of the world from different perspectives, reminding me of the value of openness and the universal language of kindness.

Reflections and Realizations

As my holiday drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the journey. Beyond the relaxation and enjoyment, it was a period of personal growth and learning. I had stepped out of my comfort zone, challenged myself to try new things, and embraced the unfamiliar. This holiday taught me the importance of slowing down, appreciating the moment, and the joy of discovering new places and cultures.

My holiday in the coastal town was more than just a break from routine; it was a journey of discovery, connection, and personal growth. It reminded me of the beauty of our world, the diversity of its people, and the shared experiences that bind us. As I returned home, I brought back not only souvenirs and photographs but memories that will last a lifetime and a renewed sense of adventure, ready to explore what lies beyond the horizon.

The Educational Tour: A Narrative Last January 18, 2013, we, the fifth year students together with our professor went to Ilocos Norte to visit the mini-hydro power plant in Pagudpud and the wind turbine generating plant in Bangui. We departed from our rendezvous point which is our school gate at 5 in the morning through a hired bus. We traveled up north passing different towns. We had a lot of short “stop overs” because many of us wanted to urinate because of the cold weather.

We reached Magapit Bridge and bought some snacks because some of us haven’t had breakfast. Then we continue our travel and reached Sta. Praxedes, or is it Abulug. There we had our breakfast. We stayed there for almost half an hour before we continue to Ilocos. Ascending and descending the long and winding road, we were excited to get a sight of the sea from above. We arrived at our first destination – the mini-hydro power plant. We were welcomed by their resident engineers and explained to us the operation of the plant. They even asked if we have some questions so they can explain better.

Then we began our tour around the plant. The engineer on-duty explained the different machines and equipments and their operations. We took a lot of photos of the equipments. We were amazed at the different control boards there was. After staying there for almost an hour, we proceeded to our next destination – the Windmills. After some time of traveling, we arrived and saw the gigantic, white-coated windmills. There are 20 of it. They are so big you can’t imagine how they built those windmills. Again, we have some picture taking of the windmills and the beach.

Some of us bought miniature windmills for souvenirs and even shirts. We roamed the area and enjoyed the sight. The waves are tall and the wind was strong. Some of the windmills have blades turning but some were not. It was already noon so decided to leave and went to Pagudpud Beach to have our lunch. It was raining but not that strong. We finished our lunch and some of us went to have a swim and enjoy the scenery. It was awesome! We stayed for maybe a couple of hours but the weather didn’t improve. Our professor decided that we have to go.

We dropped him somewhere in Abulug and only we students continued our journey home. Inside the bus, we had a lot of fun. Hours passed and we arrived at our school and we went our separate ways. I can say that we enjoyed this field trip so much that we want to go to one again. We had acquired knowledge at the same time having fun. Kudos to our professor! Conclusion Educational tour is extremely important to the student for the reason that we can gain knowledge, ideas and develop our personality by observing and to see the actual way of it. This tour showed us our possible future field of work.

This tour provided us with the break we needed from school but still learning. Given the opportunity, we would like to go back there again. Because this educational tour is a part of the College of Engineering goals of innovation and responsiveness in finding new ways of learning to help the Electrical Engineering students to be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to meet the increasing demand of electrical engineers and also seeks to prepare the students for a possible career. Thank you to our professor, Engr. Salvador Peralta, for this memorable experience.
