Paper Rocket Review: Grief Gets A Refreshing Take In This Kalidas Jayaram-Starrer

Cast:  Kalidas Jayaram, Tanya S Ravichandran, K Renuka, Karunakaran, Nirmal Palazhi, Gouri G. Kishan

Director:  Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi's Paper Rocket tucks in a few surprises up its sleeve. Don't be fooled by its ingenuous title. While at the center of the seven-episode series is a bucket-list buddy adventure, the series packs in a thoughtful, and for the most part, politically-correct discourse on depression, death, and disability.

As early as the first episode, all eyes are on Jeeva, a 20-something mergers and acquisitions overachiever played by Kalidas Jayaram , and understandably so. His life in Chennai and his eye-watering apartment by the sea in ECR run like clockwork. And ironically enough, in a series that props up so much on the idea of time itself, Jeeva has no time for anyone else but work. He even steals a Rolex watch from his doting single father the last time he visited him at Kanyakumari (the series is often crammed with lovely allegories of time). But when his dad suddenly passes on, grief overtakes Jeeva's world, and suddenly he finds himself with all the time in the world. But as one door closes, another door opens. And in Jeeva's case, it is therapy.

New characters soon enter Jeeva's life in the form of a therapy group. Gouri Kishan plays Charu, a former swimmer and teenager full of life in a wheelchair (no points for representation there). A superb K Renuka is breast cancer survivor Valliamma; Karunakaran is Tiger, a Nietzche-loving philosophist suffering from chronic depression; Tanya Ravichandran is Elakya, a recluse with anger issues, and Nirmal Palazhi is Unni, a terminal patient with a "ticking time bomb" for a brain, in his own words. And thus follows a Rob Reiner-esque bucket list drama, wherein these six strangers embark on a trip to tick off their wishlist.

And thankfully for the list, the series takes us through the gorgeous hinterlands of Tirunelveli, Marthandam, Karaikudi, and Megamalai with artful camerawork. Jeeva, who unwittingly takes charge of the trip (not without consent forms, of course), slowly takes in their problems. If Valliamma wants to relive fond memories with her dead husband in her ancestral property, Charu wants to take a dip in the Thamirabarani river with her grandad (played by an effortless GM Kumar).

But not all such stories work, with Tiger's arc being the weakest of them all. But to the maker's defense, this is tricky territory. In a series that promises not to judge anyone for their mental state, a suicidal Tiger is obsessed with death. Oppression from a religious mom and chronic depression from loneliness turns Tiger on an existential journey. What is the purpose of a life where people fight each other over their religion and caste, he asks in a scene. Unfortunately, the writing of the show– which is otherwise strengthened by sharp dialogues –  lacks the weight to justify such lines. So, when Tiger and Elakya butt heads for evoking a few laughs pegged to his suicidal thoughts, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Kalidas steers and steals the show quite dexterously in Paper Rocket , and so does Jeeva. But that is not always a good thing in a series that places importance on self-realization.  And so Jeeva becomes a classic case of the savior complex. He has a thoughtful line or two to make people's problems vanish into thin air, quite successfully. So much so that even the psychotherapist that brought the gang of misfits together, looks at him as the better fixer-upper.

But one of the best arcs in the show is also in its most surprising one – Nirmal Palazhi's Unni sets off to Madhavaram to have some casual tea with his childhood sweetheart. But there is just one problem–she is married to a hunky dude who lifts big weights at his doorway for leisure. This portion warms the heart with stories of forgotten romances, childhood friendships, and delicately written men.

The show is also at its best when it tries to unpack grief in different forms. Look out for the first episode when Valliamma bursts out into laughter when a visibly uncomfortable Jeeva learns about a death in the group. The show doesn't put grief into boxes. Instead, it gently reminds us that it is an animal that takes different forms in different people.

Story: Five people hailing from different walks of life and reeling under various problems set out for a trip with the help of a youngster who regrets not being faithful to his father. The six of them with different characteristics learn, unlearn and discover themselves during the trip. Little did they know that the trip would change their perception towards life forever.

Review: The trailer of Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi's Paper Rocket offered a glimpse of the web series - six people belonging to various walks of life - going on a tour to bid adieu to their problems temporarily. Though the plot is nothing new and predictable, a few effective characterizations and lively moments make up for it.

image_item

It all begins with Jeeva (Kalidas Jayaram), an ambitious entrepreneur, consulting a leading psychiatrist (Poornima Bhagyaraj) after his father's demise. He regrets not having spent enough time with his father, which in turn, affects his focus and work. He also admits his father's friend (Chinni Jayanth) at the psychiatrist's clinic after the latter suffers from depression post paralysis.

Jeeva befriends Valliamma (Renuka), Charu (Gouri G Kishan), Ilakkiya (Tanya Ravichandran), Gerald (Karunakaran) and Unni (Nirmal Palazhi) at the clinic and learns that each of them are reeling under various physical and mental issues. He decides to take them for a trip across Tamil Nadu to fulfill each of their wishes.

During the course of the trip, the six of them realize the varied positive changes happening in them and start looking at life in different perspectives. What has fate in store for them?

The theme revolving around travelling as healing is a treat to watch. It's been a while since a project based on travel has been made in Tamil, and Kiruthiga has utilized the opportunity to the fullest. The scenic beauty of Meghamalai, Karaikudi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari have been captured captivatingly and it is a delight to watch some of the breathtaking shots.

Some of the outdoor locations in different districts of Tamil Nadu complement the story telling and mood of the characters. The cinematography by Richard M Nathan and Gavemic U Ary is one of the highlights of the series. Their visuals transport the audience to the different locations where the story unfolds. They are ably supported by Lawrence Kishore's editing.

Simon K King's melody songs and soothing background score provide soul to the narration, enabling the viewers to connect with the emotions of lead characters.

But what makes the wafer-thin plot of Paper Rocket engaging is the performances of actors. Renuka excels in the role of a cancer-stricken woman who is also haunted by the memories of her husband who passed away a while ago. Gouri plays a quadriplegic girl who was a swimming champion. The mental trauma of a teenage girl who underwent an accident turning her life topsy-turvy has been effectively portrayed by the actress.

Nirmal Palazhi as the naïve romantic person who suffers from brain tumor is a treat to watch while Karunakaran as the depressed 35-year-old who feels unapologetic about his suicidal tendency plays his part well. The chemistry between Kalidas and Tanya, too, stands out.

Their bonding develops organically; while the former takes time to come out of the guilt feeling of having left his father alone, the latter is short-tempered and has a history of a sexual abuse incident associated with it. Nagineedu as the noble father, Chinni Jayanth as the caring father and Kaali Venkat, too, make their presence felt.

Paper Rocket delivers what it promised to offer, a feel-good drama which is high on emotions, a few laughs and tons of light-hearted moments. On the down side, the predictable nature of the story is a drawback. Most of the proceedings can be easily guessed.

There is little suspense throughout the series because of which we tend to lose interest at a few instances. Some of the characterizations have not been developed to its complete potential, leading to a few sequences ending up becoming generic.

Verdict: Despite minor flaws, the series is a watchable fare and would appeal to those who crave for light-hearted dramas that instill hope and positivity. It is also a welcome change from the slew of fast-paced, half-baked thrillers with ample twists and turns that release almost every alternate week.

Paper Rocket is streaming on Zee5.

Paper Rocket Web Series Review

It is an irrefutable interesting period in Tamil cinema when a whole web drama gets made with its focus on human emotions. Paper Rocket is the series to do the least expected feat. The series is a story about a group of people from different walks of life seeking to heal their past and present trauma in life through therapy. Actor Kalidas Jayaram who was last seen in Tamil in a supporting role in the action thriller Vikram is back on screens as the lead hero in the romedy web series Paper Rocket. Actress Tanya Ravichandran has essayed the female lead role. Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi has helmed the web series. So, how has the series come out? Will it help propel actors Kalidas Jayaram and Tanya Ravichandran as bankable lead artists of Tamil cinema, and be a successful outing for film maker Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi? To know that let us get into the series review.

The series revolves around Jeeva (Kalidas Jayaram), a dynamic young man who is very successful in his profession. He has a doting father who lives far away from him in Kanyakumari. He has a habit of ringing up his son to check on him. In one instance, he calls Jeeva when he is in the middle of a business meeting. Jeeva is forced to skip the call. Later he is informed of his father’s demise. He gets shattered. He goes back to his hometown where he meets his friend Francis (Kaali Venkat), whose dad Devarajan (Chinni Jayanth), is his father’s close friend. Devarajan is bedbound, and is deeply distressed by the death of his friend. Jeeva takes him to a care center to get him treated. Suddenly he is surrounded by guilt of not picking up his father’s last call, and not spending enough time with him. He is absorbed in these thoughts and could not direct his focus on anything else.

On the suggestion of Dr. Sheila (Poornima Bhagyaraj), he decides to attend group therapy. There he meets five individuals Elakya (Tanya Ravichandran), Tiger (Karunakaran), Valliamma (Renuka), Charu ( Gouri G Kishan ), and Unni (Nirmal Palazhi) who are battling to overcome their own trauma, grief, and loss. Learning about everyone’s unlived desires, Jeeva comes up with an idea to take them on a road trip across Tamil Nadu to fulfill their wishes. Their travel begins, and so is their healing process. How does the road trip impact them, and will they be able to find their inner peace and move on in life, is what makes the rest of the flick.

It is hard to get a drama in Tamil cinema that for its entire run time has its focus on exploring human emotions like trauma, grief, stress, and the process of human healing. Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi treats us to the rarity in Tamil cinema with her web series Paper Rocket. The series has a lot of positive façades to it. For starters, the backstory of almost everyone in the group is shaped in a relatable way. Not any dramatic events just to intensify the pain and suffering. So, we do not get worn-out when getting to know the characters. When a drama talks about depression and trauma in life, a serious mood is the immediate choice. But Paper Rocket takes a different route. It is serious, with its share of fun moments. One added advantage in watching Paper Rocket is that we get to enjoy the scenic locations from Kanyakumari, Meghamalai, Tirunelveli, and Karaikudi.

On the downside, Paper Rocket is a light-hearted drama that talks about surface level depression and trauma. And is reluctant to get beyond that point. The backstory and characterization of Tiger is not sufficient to hide the fact that it is merely added to the group just for the comical purpose. Also, the drama does not take much time to present the trauma events. It puts them out bluntly for the audience. So that it can get on with the journey part.

Actor Kalidas Jayaram fits well in his part. His role does not demand much from him, and he pulls off his part effortlessly. Actress Tanya Ravichandran is solid and does complete justice to her role. Actor Karunakaran is inconsistent in his job. Yet he manages to provide the much necessary comical relief. Actress Gouri G Kishan does not have much to offer to influence the plot. But still, the actress lives up to her role. Actress Renuka has done her part well. Actor Nirmal Palazhi is functional. Actor Kaali Venkat with an effective performance as usual. Veteran actors Chinni Jayanth, and Poornima Bhagyaraj for their part have chipped in, to serve their purpose for being on board. Actor Dheeraj is adequate. Actor G. M. Kumar is operational. The rest of the cast has delivered what was asked of them.

On the technical front, music directors Simon K King, Vedshanker, and Dharan Kumar ’s songs add value to the series. Music director Simon K King’s background score helps in reinforcing the comical tone in comedy portions and feels breezy in the lighter moments. Cinematographer Richard M Nathan has picked right angles to put his cameras. Besides raw picturesque spots, his frames further supplement the feel-good manner of the series. Editor Lawrence Kishore’s fine trim job has enhanced the work of his colleague well.

On the whole, director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s Paper Rocket is a light hearted series that talks about a mix of human emotions and the importance of healing that make our time worthy despite its flaws.

Paper Rocket is available for streaming on ZEE5 Video OTT platform.

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi's Paper Rocket Web Series Review

Paper Rocket Movie Review in English

Paper Rocket Movie Cast & Crew

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi's latest directorial venture, Paper Rocket, has released on the Zee 5 streaming platform and here's our review on this newest web series in Tamil. Paper Rocket stars Kalidas Jayaram, Tanya Ravichandran, Gouri G Kishan, Karunakaran, Renuka, and others in the lead roles.

STORY :  Paper Rocket is a series that explores the beauty and complications of life through various characters. Certain situations make Jeeva   (Kalidas Jayaram) take 5 people on a trip to make them heal from their personal problems and depression. Each person has an unfulfilled desire and Jeeva decides to make their life look complete, thereby making himself heal from the grief of losing his father. How did the trip change the lives of the six people is what Paper Rocket is all about.

SCREENPLAY, DIALOGUES & DIRECTION:  Filmmakers usually prefer to tell crime stories or intense mystery dramas when they create content for OTT platforms, but Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi takes the path that is less travelled. She takes up a premise that has life in it and deals with multiple human emotions. The best part about Paper Rocket is that it delves into various emotions - guilt, trauma, grief, uncertainty, depression, sadness, etc and it also touches upon several topics like sexual abuse, life after trauma or injuries, the aftereffects of the death of a loved one, and more.

Kiruthiga explores these zones quite effectively with her writing. The episode that deals with the story of Karunakaran has a good level of exploration about the purpose of life and due credits to the execution as well. Kiruthiga takes a breezy approach and handles the plot with good sensibilities and she has also bettered her craft as a filmmaker compared to her previous ventures. She gets most of the emotions right with only a few ones missing the right landing. On the flip side, Paper Rocket has pacing issues and there are places where the scenes fall short on engagement. The writing and treatment of Renuka's backstory (wealth issues) and its solution looked cliched and had staging issues, in an otherwise likeable series.

The series could've easily turned melodramatic if the emotions had gone overboard, but Kiruthiga makes sure that the line is drawn.    CAST:  Kalidas Jayaram delivers a highly impressive performance and he brings to the table a great level of charm. He is natural and fits the bill perfectly. Tanya Ravichandran as the independent woman with anger issues portrays her part neatly and her chemistry with Kalidas works in the favour of the series. Karunakaran as Tiger is strikingly good and he makes sure to bring both comic and emotional sides of him quite convincingly. Renuka, Nirmal Palazhi, Gouri G Kishan, Chinni Jayanth, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Kaali Venkat, and the rest of the cast do their respective parts neatly without much ado.

TECHNICAL:  Usually films or visual contents that deal with human emotions tend to take the help of music to elevate the emotions. Paper Rocket has a mix of some extremely well done scores and some that fall in the okay zone. However, the songs are impressively done. Richard M Nathan's cinematography is enriching and beautiful and the visuals act as a pleasant feast to the eyes. The close up shots are also wisely used. The edit pattern is neat and ensures the smooth flow of the content.

SO?   Summing up, one can confidently say that Paper Rocket is a heartwarming series that gets most of its emotions right!

Verdict: A breezy feel-good drama that explores life with good writing! Deserves a watch!

Galatta Rating: ( 4 /5.0 )

Paper rocket series review: a heartwarming series about grief and closure.

A feel good watch!

Paper-Rocket-Series-Review

Cast: Kalidas Jayaram, Tanya Ravichandran, Renuka, Gauri G Kishan, Karunakaran

After the lockdown imposed because of the pandemic, we have all become more aware of mental health, and how good mental health is essential for healthy living. We all went through a low phase when the virus forced us to let go of our day-to-day lives and sit in our own homes. We faced this due to the uncertainty of what will happen next. Have we ever wondered, what people who are uncertain about whether they will live the next minute, go through? How much thought have we given to the lives of people diagnosed with chronic psychological issues? Yes, we have not thought about them much. Kiruthiga Udayanidhi’s Paper Rocket tries to give us a peep into this world.

The series deals with a number of themes including death, guilt, ambitions, uncertainty, closure, etc. The story revolves around a few people who all know each other through group therapy. Their life turns serendipitous when one day a new entrant Jeeva is their key to ticking off the last things on their bucket list. How they take upon this journey with the different kinds of problems and mental health issues they have, forms the rest of the story.

The series deals with grief most of all. It touches on important subjects including depression, sexual abuse, the loss of your loved ones, life after a serious injury, etc. Generally, a show dealing with grief tends to make the audience morose with melancholy music to go with it. Surprisingly, this series makes you laugh at the most unexpected times. The way it deals with grief and closure gives us some hope about future challenges we may encounter in life.

Paper Rocket Web Series OTT Release Date, OTT Platform, Time and more

The character depth is extremely important for this show. The show is about the life of 8 characters and the effect they have on each other. For every single character, there is a backstory that explores their bucket list moment. Some stories are dramatic, some are funny while some are also sad. But, their stories take us on a journey that makes us forget about our own lives.

The beginning of the seven episode series is a little slow. So, you start wondering if the series is just another deep philosophical take on life. Thankfully, the rest of the show does not advance that way. Soon, we are introduced to the fun side of the characters and their stories. Yes, the series has a lot of deep philosophical messages. But, they’re kept to a minimum amount at the right moments. For example, in one episode, a group of children speak volumes about how people become greedy and selfish as adults. In the right way, it feels like a slap on the face and makes us think about all the friends we may have lost due to our ego.

The one thing that could have been better is novelty. Yes, the story is a new one, and explores problems and grief of a number of people. But some of the messages it delivers are ones that we have been seeing in Tamil cinema for a really long time. For example, one episode is about how two brothers are separated because of their greed for family property. That episode spends time teaching us lessons about family and unity. Yes, such property issues exist even today. But, the message has been received from Padaiyappa and many other such movies already. So this in particular could have been different.

Coming to performances, Kalidas Jayaram, Tanya Ravichandran and Gauri Kishan are relatively new to the film industry. After Paper Rocket, we know that they deserve to get many more projects with different concepts. Kalidas, the protagonist and the headliner really lead the show. Other actors such as Karunakaran, Renuka, Poornima Bhagyaraj and Nirmal Pazhani have also given more than their usual best. When the series ends, it makes the audience want more, because it really hooks them episode after episode.

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi's next is a web series titled Paper Rocket; First song out- Cinema express

Music has led the show. In some way, this series is also just a set of montages with soothing and meaningful songs. A song about home, ‘Jo Jo Jo’ really makes you homesick. Similarly, ‘Cheranaadu’ sung by Ramya Nambeesan and Simon King is a cute love song to listen to on repeat. Lastly, ‘Kaalai Maalai’ in Sid Sriram’s voice, summarises the whole essence of the series.

Paper Rocket is Kiruthiga Udayanidhi’s third work. So far, all of her works have left us with a feel-good experience. Paper Rocket in specific, really makes us sit and think about the life we live. But, this thought process is not instilled through tough and depressing scenes. It is reiterated through fun-loving relationships and moments in these characters’ lives. After a week of tiring work, Paper Rocket will be a really good weekend binge-watch, especially with family.

Rating: 3.5/5

Verdict: Watch it with your family and go into deep thought about life!

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi: Paper Rocket is a travel drama with strong performances

In the trailer launch event for Zee5’s original series Paper Rocket , director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi spoke in length about the strong performances given by the cast, and how she honed her craft during the pandemic by assisting director Thiagarajan Kumararaja.

Paper Rocket has an ensemble cast that includes Kalidas Jayaram, Tanya Ravichandran, Gouri G Kishan, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Renuka, Chinni Jayanth, Karunakaran, and Kaali Venkat. The series follows a group of strangers who go on a road trip that ends up becoming a journey of self-discovery. The trailer showed visuals of exotic locations and character moments intercut with a plot-defining caption that read 'Life, death, and everything in between.'

The trailer launch opened with an exclusive music video featuring actor Ramya Nambessan, followed by the trailer itself. The cast and crew were then joined on stage by celebrity chief guests like Silambarasan TR , Udhayanidhi Stalin, Mirchi Siva, Mari Selvaraj, Balaji Tharaneetharan, and Mysskin.

Kamal Hassan marked his presence with a video byte where he wished the team their success. Actor Chinni Jayanth, in a light-hearted speech, talked about his experience of shooting in the middle of the ocean for the series. He went on to humorously compare it to the final moments of Titanic . This would be the actor-comedian's first appearance in a web series in his almost four-decade-long career.

While talking about her character, Gouri G Kishan said, “I play an interesting character of a swimmer in the series. Kiruthiga ma'am has handled the female characters well, giving them well-rounded arcs. It is a proud moment for women in general."

Silambarasan TR took to the stage to thank Chief Minister MK Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin for checking on his father T Rajendar’s health. Talking about the series he said, "I don't see any distinction between male and female directors. They are all directors. We don't have to give them a place, they have already arrived and they are here to stay.”

Director Mari Selvaraj said that he felt jealous watching the visuals of Paper Rocket.  "It will take me 15 years to tell such a feel-good story.”

Taking time to appreciate the cast and crew of her debut series, Kiruthiga said, "It was very interesting to work with every person on the team. The confidence given by Mysskin sir has brought me this far.” Delving further into her creative collaboration during the pandemic, Kiruthiga said, “During the pandemic, I requested Thiagarajan Kumararaja to make me his assistant. I learned a lot from him." Addressing Simbu, the filmmaker said, "I would like to do a film with Simbu. Maybe this event could mark the beginning of that project.”

The show ended with a supposed reference from the series where the characters write their wishes on a paper rocket and launch it into the air. All the chief guests and the team launched a paper rocket of their own off the stage to mark the end of the event.

The eight-episode original series starts premiering on Zee5 on July 29.

Luca Review

paper rocket movie review

Luca is an ode to friendship. The 84-minute Pixar movie on Disney+, from feature directorial debutant Enrico Casarosa, is inspired by his own childhood — Luca is dedicated to Casarosa's best friend Alberto Surace, whose name he lends to the deuteragonist and the title protagonist's best friend — in the Italian Riviera in the 1970s and 1980s. It's set in a world that takes after the 1950s and the 1960s, for Casarosa doesn't feel as nostalgic (yet) about the eighties. But Luca 's is also a fantasy world. The aforementioned Luca (voiced by Jacob Tremblay, from Room) and Alberto (Jack Dylan Grazer, from Shazam!) are actually “sea monsters”, feared and hunted by the humans who live above the surface. Though technically, they are shapeshifting amphibians, that become fish in water, and human on land.

Web Series Review | Paper Rocket: Heart-warming tale of how a tragedy make people bond

paper rocket movie review

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s ‘Paper Rocket’ is a heart-warming tale that revolves around a group of six people who, through a road trip, end up healing themselves and others. The wounds they have suffered are deep because they have been caused either by death, depression, anger or exploitation.

The story is like a gentle stream that meanders its way into viewers’ hearts. It begins with Jeeva (Kalidas Jayaram), a much-sought after acquisitions and merger expert, who lives a luxurious life alone in Chennai.

His father Gunaseelan (Nagineedu) is a doting dad but someone who prefers to stay in his native place by the sea. Father and son share a wonderful, admirable bond, regularly talking over phone or staying in touch through voice messages on WhatsApp.

Jeeva’s skills are unmatched and his boss looks to make the most of it. He assigns him the responsibility to close his most precious deals that are worth several hundred crores.

Jeeva as such has no problem. His only problem is that it’s been six months since he last visited his dad, who has been eagerly awaiting his return. Whenever Jeeva makes an effort to head home, his boss has some other important deal for him to attend to. Eventually, the trips keep getting postponed.

One night, late after finishing work, Jeeva attempts to call his dad. He doesn’t get a response. He checks out the WhatsApp messages and sees that his father has posted a voice message for him in which he expresses a desire to go on a long drive in the car with his son.

The next morning, Jeeva sees a series of missed calls on his phone and calls back only to learn that his dad has passed away. He is overcome by guilt of not having been there with his dad when he needed him the most.

Days pass but Jeeva is unable to come to terms with the tragedy. He goes to a doctor (Poornima Baghyaraj) who invites him to a discussion with a group of five other people who are trying to overcome their own problems. How the group gets together and helps each other is what the series is about.

Kalidas Jayaram as Jeeva steals the limelight. He looks every bit the part and is absolutely at ease playing this character. Combining well with Nagineedu(who plays his dad) and Kaali Venkat (who plays a friend), Kalidas is easily the thread holding together all the beads of the beautiful necklace called ‘Paper Rocket’.

Tanya Ravichandran as Elakkya, a feminist with anger issues, does a decent job. K Renuka as Valliyamma comes up with a convincing neat performance as does Gouri G who plays an injured swimmer called Charu.

Karunakaran as Tiger and Nirmal Palazhi are adorable but their characterisation isn’t very convincing.

The series has some breathtakingly beautiful visuals all through. Richard M. Nathan’s camera has had a field day, capturing stunningly beautiful visuals of vales, mountains, mists and the sea. Full marks to the cinematographer!

Music is another strength of the series. Be it the background score or the songs, the music department deserves a pat on the back for having done their jobs well.

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi delivers a neat, clean, entertaining series that may well be worth your time.
