• Use notation forms that are useful for you; don't copy other forms unless you actually find them useful. It is often best to develop your own highlighting methods, your own shorthand, and your own summarizing techniques.

• Read the passage or paragraphs.
• Brainstorm a few questions based on what you read.
• Read the passage or paragraph once more and answer the questions.

• To make studying more interesting, maybe try doing it with a friend but a friend with whom you won't get distracted.

• To make a homework planner, grab a suitable lined book. Use a non-removable stickiness charm, or hot glue, and decorate the inside. Also, put a spell on it so it shouts out quotes at you whenever you open it or write quotes inside (that's what Hermione did for Ron and Harry in the books.) But make sure you can use these spells properly before attempting; if you haven't got a clue as a Muggle, you will have to use ink or coloured pen for the quotes and glue in some cool decorations that make it seem like a "charmed" book.

• If the internet is too addicting or you keep getting distracted at home, head to the library, not only will you get some quiet and be able to focus, if you cannot find certain information from your books, search in all the books around you. Thanks Helpful 1 Not Helpful 1

The trio finishing their History of Magic homework

Homework was coursework usually assigned to students at the end of classes or at the end of the school term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry . It was usually completed by students in the: Study Hall , Study Area , Library , Gryffindor Tower reading room , or another common room .

A homework planner was a magical diary that allowed a student to keep track of their homework assignments, with the planner verbally reminding them not to procrastinate on their homework; Harry Potter and Ron Weasley received them as Christmas presents from Hermione Granger in December 1995 , much to their annoyance. [1] The Homework Cup was granted to Hogwarts students who excelled at their completion of homework. [2]

• History of Magic: To write weekly essays about Goblin Rebellions . [14]

SUPPLIES I RECOMMEND FOR PRINTING

If you’re going to be printing in color, I really recommend investing in an HP Instant Ink compatible printer . The quality of the finished product is amazing! If you don’t need a color printer, I highly recommend a laser printer like the Brother L23 Series . You will save hundreds on ink. You can also get a color laser printer which I would LOVE to have!

For everyday printables, planners, and coloring pages for the kiddos I normally use Hammermill Printer Paper, 20 Lb . I love that you can get a small box of 3 reams instead of having to buy one at a time or a whole case of 10.

If I want something a little nicer, I use this laser paper which is incredibly smooth and has very little to no ghosting on the other side. This is perfect if you like to use pens/markers that are prone to bleeding through to the other side.

For printing on A5 paper, I use this Blank 6-Hole Punched A5 Paper . You can also get it without the holes but it’s $6-7 more. Which I think is odd because it’s usually the other way around and you have to pay more for the hole punching.

If you're printing a binder cover that you to be fade-resistant and last a long time, the best paper I would recommend using Epson Presentation paper . It's heavy like cardstock (48 lb), is great when laminated, and is made to last for decades.
