  1. Heist Movie Review

Our review: Parents say Not yet rated Rate movie. Kids say ( 1 ): Writer/director David Mamet is fascinated by the con. He has written movies about an ordinary person who becomes involved with professional con men ( House of Games) and about men who sell vacation property by selling a dream to people who cannot afford it.

  2. Heist Movie Review

Parents need to know that Heist (not to be confused with David Mamet's 2001 movie of the same name) is a crime thriller with very strong, constant language (including dozens of uses of "f--k" and "motherf----r") and graphic violence: shooting, killing, blood, fighting, and children in peril. One scene shows a man and a woman in bed, with her partly naked.

  3. Heist (2015)

Severe 13 of 21 found this severe. Typical action movie violence. Shooting, bloody wounds, blood sprays, characters dying. Fighting, shouting, punching. Car chases, explosions. Knife pulled. Children in peril. A man is tied to a chair and his captor stubs a cigarette out on his thigh. There are also scenes in which people are shot and blood ...

  5. Heist [2001] [R]

Twisty caper drama written and directed by David Mamet about three men and a woman (Gene Hackman, Delroy Lindo, Ricky Jay and Rebecca Pidgeon) who plan one last heist after being swindled, by a more unscrupulous thief (Danny DeVito), out of their cut of a previous robbery. Also with Sam Rockwell and Patti Lupone. [1:47]

  8. Heist movie review & film summary (2015)

Black-clad figures on motorcycles too!) the plot gets thicker (De Niro's mean casino owner may be dying and he has a socially-conscious adult daughter who hates his corrupt guts and corrupt money! The 7 p.m. deadline for surgery payment looms hard!) and the cast gets more motley (the "Saved By The Bell" fellow pops in as a cocky police ...

  9. The Hurricane Heist Movie Review for Parents

Overall C. The ultimate storm seems like the perfect time for the ultimate heist. So when a Category 5 hurricane threatens a U.S. Treasury facility, a group of thieves take the opportunity to break-in. What they fail to account for is a loyal security guard (Maggie Grace) who is just as determined as mother nature. Release date March 9, 2018.

  10. Heist movie review & film summary (2001)

David Mamet's ''Heist'' is about a caper and a con, involving professional criminals who want to retire but can't. It's not that they actually require more money. It's more that it would be a sin to leave it in civilian hands. Gene Hackman plays a jewel thief who dreams of taking his last haul and sailing into the sunset with his young wife (Rebecca Pidgeon). Danny DeVito is the low-rent ...

  12. The Hurricane Heist Movie Review

Parents need to know that The Hurricane Heist (starring Ryan Kwanten, Maggie Grace, and Toby Kebbell) is a hybrid disaster/crime adventure with lots of gunplay and high winds but little violence with lasting emotional impact.A father dies in front of his kids during a hurricane, but the peril is never terrifying or horrifying. 15. Lift Movie Review for Parents

For fans of heist films, like myself, Lift could be worth your time, if only for the first hour when it really shines. But otherwise I think the real crime in this movie is the theft of the much better story it could have been. Directed by F. Gary Gray. Starring Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sam Worthington.
